Chapter 8: The Protector Of The Powerless
" Dino, my son what do you mean you want to leave this place." These words were not spoken by a human, A large seventy-meter tall white dragon spoke those words in the human language.
" Father, I am half-human, My mother said that human children are adults when they turn 18 and are allowed to freely choose for themselves." A boy with long white hair spoke, he was tall by human standards just a little below 7 feet tall. His eyes were golden in colour.
" Your mother did, I will talk to her about this, she does not know much about dragons. You should be in my care until I think you can be left on your own."
" But, Father–" Dino tried to say something but suddenly the dragon turned his back and started to walk away into the huge cave.
" Father listen to me."
" There is nothing to listen to, Dino, you shall stay in the care of me and your mother. You have to stay with us until I say so." The dragon said those words and went deeper inside the cave. The Cave was unnatural, it was built by the Dragon using his powers and it was near the human settlement.
Dino started to walk towards the building that was built near the cave. It was a huge white building that belonged to TGAE, there was a white flag with the crest of TGAE standing in the garden of the building.
This place was situated on an unknown island that has various security measures. Nobody can enter or leave this island when these security measures are in place. As Dino walked toward the building many guards saluted him, they were all wearing black and white uniform with the crest of TGAE and medals based on their ranks.
Dino was feeling frustrated, he and his father were not that close, and the interactions between them were just like what happened today. Inside the building, he walked toward a certain lab where he could see many beasts being operated on. He didn't like the sight of spirit beasts being dissected, when he was little he even puked whenever he saw this but now he has gotten used to it.
" Walking so carefree, that is so like you young master." A man with various medals on his chest walked toward him. He had a long white beard and a bald head, however, his body was very muscular.
" I went to see my father," Dino replied while still looking in the direction of the beasts from behind the mirror with pity. " I don't like this place, I want to leave."
" Hmmm, why would you want to leave? This is the heaven of earth, with no dangers and the most beautiful climate." The man raised his eyebrows as if questioning whether or not Dino is stupid. " I was also born here just like you and at one point I also wanted to leave to see the world outside. When I became a soldier and left on a mission to the outside world, Trust me what I saw was nothing like my imagination, there was only hell everywhere."
" I am not a soldier," Dino said.
" You are not, I am just saying that young master should be careful with his dreams. I am sure of it that you may have to leave this place at some point but now is not the time."
" General Kong, I don't want to talk to you, please leave."
" Alright, it seems I have said more than I should. Take care young master." General Kong bowed toward Dino and then quietly left.
' I can't leave, my father will easily notice my absence and I will be caught by the Generals. I should just give up on this idea now. I wonder when will mom return I want to know about Yelena, did she find her?'
He directly went to his room and started to use the internet on his smartphone, suddenly he came across an article about his father. It has the Title, ' The Protector Of The Powerless, 5 interesting Facts about White Dragon Aesir.' He knew many things about his father from the people around him, but he had never left this facility, the only places he is allowed to be are this TGAE's main headquarters building and the cave built by his father.
Because of some curiosity, he opened the article to read, the first fact that was written there was.
' Aesir has a son who is half-human.' Dino chuckled at this. There was no mention of his name but it seemed that the world knew about his existence.
' Aesir was considered a great threat and was attacked by humans, they even used nuclear weapons on him.' It was something he had also heard so it was not that surprising.
' Aesir can also take the form of a human.'
' Aesir was ordered by the gods to protect humans of Earth.'
So far most of it was true, but the context of these facts written in the article was vague. Dino knew more than this, he was about to close the article but stopped after he read the 5th fact written in the article.
' Aesir was defeated by one of the originals but the original didn't kill him and established a friendly relationship with him.' He had never heard of his father being defeated, he had considered him a god. At first, he didn't believe this but suddenly various questions came into his mind about the originals, how strong they are and their world.
He just knew that they had not shown their power for a very long time, he searched for such videos but found nothing on the internet. ' Of course, there would be nothing, the government does not want to show the truth. Father will also not answer me, I want to know more about them, are their people in the world more powerful than dragons.'
He searched more and more about these topics on the internet and suddenly he came across one article about one of the originals. " The Augustine Family and The Prophecy of The Calamity."
