Iodel seized the opportunity. He focused his energy, channeling it into a concentrated beam of violet light. The beam shot forward, striking Nyx directly and sending her staggering backward. The violet light was not only light, it was mana, and when concentrated in such a way, even though it wasn't as powerful as how the violet energy usually was or when turned into flames, it was still able to deal some significant damage, especially toward Nyx.

Violet, her muscles straining, pushed harder against Nyx's blades, trying to keep her off balance. Nyx was able to get her footing back and stared at Violet with anger.

Nyx snarled, her eyes blazing with hatred. "You think this will stop me?" she spat, her voice dripping with venom. "The darkness will always find a way."

But Iodel was relentless. He advanced, his violet light intensifying with each step. "Not today," he said firmly.
