Chapter 593: The Enemy Acts

As the ground trembled and dark energy surged, Nicholas and Lyle exchanged determined glances, realizing the gravity of the threat. The robed figures' chanting grew louder, their combined dark energy creating a palpable sense of dread in the air.

This attack was not coming from below, Drakor was certain of it.

At first, it did truly seem as if it was coming from below, but he and Lindar quickly realized that the shaking of the ground and the aura that had seemingly increased for an instant was nothing but a side effect of the attack, one that the enemy had created on purpose in order to fool them into believing the same attack was going to continue and that it was a much more intense one.

"Above us, the attack is from above!" Drakor shouted as he and Lindar glanced up, as did the others, only to find a huge wave of dark energy crash down onto the barrier.
