Chapter 237: Shadows of Betrayal: Lyle's Plan in the Empire

Multiple officers, all of the Silver Knight realm at the very least, and even two Golden Knights had been murdered. Out of the two, one had been murdered by another officer that turned out to be a spy, and he was killed as some soldiers had seen him kill the other officer.

The battle had taken the lives of a couple of Silver Knights that attacked in rage before the other Golden Knights appeared to help out.

They, at first, wanted to capture the officer alive, but their wish was a futile one as the enemy decided to fight with no regard for his own safety, injuring some of them heavily before finally being killed by the mid-grade Golden Knight Lieutenant Colonel who had been stabbed through the chest by the enemy.

He survived as the sword didn't stab through his heart, nor did it hit any vitals. The sword had been left in his chest even after the battle as nobody wanted to risk him bleeding out before they arrived back at the camp where the healers were waiting.
