Chapter 85: Confrontation

Amanda did not grab much sleep after the incident that happened, partly because she stayed up to clean the mess Santa made with the bodies of the men while he flexed his arms no doubt feeling rejuvenated after the fight. He watched her clean and promised to not mess the house up next time.

"There will be no next time" Amanda corrected him as she cleaned.

She was grateful the rug was nowhere near the mess and wondered how she would have dealt with that

"You think he is going to leave us alone just because five humans are dead?" he asked.

Even as he said the words, Amanda was pretty sure Aaron had another plan up his sleeves and she wondered what it was. She felt really sad that he wanted instead to be an enemy to her and had even pretended to want to help and be her friend although she was quite relieved that he lied about his feelings towards her because for a moment she had actually felt guilty and pitiful towards him.
