Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Prolouge

**Olivia/ June POV:**

I sighed walking up to my locker. I put in my combination and replaced the books in my hand with the books for my last class of the day.

I couldn't help but overhear the conversation going on across the hall from me. It was yet another group of boy-hungry girls fawning over the Alpha's son and his coronation this weekend.

"Eeeeeep!!! I cannot wait for Sage's coronation this weekend!! Are you guys excited!?" Sadie; the eldest twin of the Latina Plastic Posy squealed.

"Si! Who isn't?! I can't believe it's been five years since Sage left for college!!" Sasha; the younger twin said.

Sadie gasped, "What if he found his mate!?" she asked with a giddy smile on her face.

"Ay Dios Mio!! I hope not!! Then, maybe I can have a chance at being Luna!!" Carmen; the leader of the LPP (Latina Plastic Posy) smirked. {oh my god}

I rolled my eyes with a scoff. Carmen was definitely not Luna material. The girl couldn't take her eyes off her reflection long enough to hold a proper conversation.

I never understood the fascination with every girl wanting to be Luna anyway? Being Luna is way too much work. Plus, you have to be friendly with everyone in the pack. And I'd rather not have people talk to me just because I'm fucking the Alpha.

"Honestly, I still can't believe it's been five years!! I can't wait to see how he looks now!! In fact, the whole pack can't wait to see how his looks changed!!" Sadie squealed once more.

I mentally groaned. Her squeal made my ears ring.

"Uh duhh!! Puedes culparlos?! No one has seen Sage since he left for college." Sasha said with just as much excitement as her twin. {Can you blame them}

Carmen opened her compact mirror and painted her silicone-filled lips with pink lip gloss as she spoke; "Yeah, well I'm pretty sure he's still as hot as ever."

The twins being the followers they are rushed to open their compacts and put on their pink lip gloss.

"Ay, Carmen you would be the best Luna." Sasha marveled.

"Si, la mejor." Sadie agreed. {Yes, the best}

"I know, right. I mean who wouldn't want me as their Luna? Serían idiotas, si no lo hicieran." she flung her stringy bleached hair over her shoulder. {They'd be idiots if they didn't.}

As Carmen finished her sentence the bell for last period rang dismissing everyone to get to class. I rolled my eyes once more and made my way to my last period.

For as long as I can remember, everyone in the Shadow Howlers Tribe/ Pack has been falling over Sage Bellissimo and his charming good looks. I never understood the fascination, to be honest.

Sage was Japanese and Italian and stood at 6'3. His hair was a bundle of black silky curls that were cut into a simple fade. He had broad shoulders, creamy pale skin, and juicy pink lips. He was six feet of lean buff muscle and his eight pack and v-line were heavily defined. He had really nice style too and smelled like the ocean with a hint of Vanilla and Lavender.

What entranced everyone the most were his heterochronic eyes. His right eye, as blue as the ocean. His left, a golden yellow that resembled the sun. He even had astounding deep dimples that showed when he talked. His deep dimples enhanced his pearly white smile.

Okay now that I think about it… I do understand the fascination. But, Sage was a complete ass and a bully.

Sage and his best friend Tyler bullied my brother Kyson and his best friend Trevor in high school. They beat them nearly every week, and the aftermath was not the best for Kyson and Trevor.

The bullying went on for all of the three years that Ky and Trev were in high school. Then suddenly four months before they all graduated Sage and Tyler stopped. After they graduated Sage and Tyler apologized for their actions while they were at a graduation party. The guys hugged it out and went on with their lives.

Whether they apologized for their behavior or not, I still don't like them. Especially Sage. I have my own reasons for that.

"Miss Summers!?" my history teacher, yelled.

"Uhhh, y- yes, Ms. Weathers?" I stuttered.

"June, I know you're excited for the crowning of the Alpha's son this weekend-" I cut her off.

"I was not thinking about the coronation." my face turned to a scowl.

'Do I look like I care about that Mixed Meat idiot getting the Alpha title?!' I mentally scoffed.

"Well whether you were or not. I need you to pay attention to the lecture, June."

I looked around the class. Everyone was looking at me and snickering, especially Latina Barbie and her minions. I slightly sunk in my chair.

"Yes ma'am. It won't happen again." I mumbled.

"I hope not. I know graduation is three months away. However, it doesn't mean that you do not pay attention in my class." she scolded.

"Understood." I really wanted to add; 'you old witch', but I held my tongue. Weathers turned back around to the board and started lecturing again about going into the real world, taking responsibility, and blah, blah, blah.

I sighed rolling my eyes at the constant giggles coming from Latina plastic and her dummies.

I was so ready to leave this hell hole. I had already graduated from culinary school. I took early classes for extra credit. I had a job set up already too. I'm working in my mom's five-star bakery. It's called 'Daffodil's Sweets'. I was also working for the Alpha and his family in their summer cabin as a housekeeper. I was set in life already. All I had to do was wait for graduation, then I was free of this retched school for good.

"Olivia June Summers!!" Ms. Weathers yelled. "I need you to focus on the words coming out of my mouth. I won't ask you again Olivia."

The older woman emphasized my first name. She knew I hated when people called me Olivia instead of June.

I swear she has so much favoritism for the plastic twit wits. I know Weathers heard the LPP giggling, yet she decided to ignore them and pick on me. Don't you just hate teachers that do that!?

"Sorry." I sighed harshly. Weathers noticed my sass. She opened her mouth to scold me for the thousandth time today, but the bell rang indicating that school was over.

I shot up from my desk, gathering my books before wishing Ms. Weathers a good weekend, even though I was choking her in my mind.

I walked to my locker to put my books away for the weekend. Just as I finished putting my books away someone hit my locker's door making it swing shut. I quickly moved my hands out of the way before they got caught in the door and I injured my hands, or worse… my nails broke.

Only one idiot in the whole school had the audacity to do anything like this. I tilted my head to look at the 'world-class ass' of Mountain Hills High; Toddrick Bellissimo (TB). He thinks he's hot shit just because his brother is going to be the Alpha and because his dad is the current Alpha.

He makes my high school life hell just like his brother did mine. Funny right? Haha, I'm laughing on the inside. Note my sarcasm.

Todd and Sage looked just alike, however; TB's eyes are dark brown like his mother's. He inherited his dad's blonde curly hair, and he has one dimple on his left cheek.

"What's going on pipsqueak? Looking good." He smirked leaning against the locker next to mine.

Todd always made fun of my short height. I was a midget compared to him. He was 6'0 and I was 5'3.

"Do you want to get punched?" I folded my arms.

"Well, you can't blame me. You're the one who decided to dress so nicely. None of the girls here have your style." He leaned against my locker. His eyes scaled my curvy figure.

I was wearing a black long-sleeved bodysuit with red high-waisted biker shorts and a black puffer jacket wrapped around my waist. I paired it with some red Adidas. My long type 4a/3c hair was in two braids that stopped mid-back with red ribbons wrapped around them. I paired it with silver hoops and a matching necklace.

I blinked at him with a blank expression, wishing that he would go away. Sadly he kept talking.

"You know... I'm surprised you haven't asked yet." Todd said, giving me a notorious look.

"Asked what?" I sighed, completely uninterested in this conversation.

"Every girl at Mountain Hills has been asking to be my date to Sage's coronation all week. I find it hard to believe you aren't interested too," he smirked

I blinked. "So, let me get this straight. You nearly broke my nails… to brag about desperate girls asking to be your date to Sage's coronation?"

He gave a false look as if he was thinking about it before answering. "Hmmmm, yeah… pretty much." He replied, with that stupid smirk still on his face.

My eyes narrowed in anger. I'm about to let him have it.
