Chapter 10: My sister
"Ji-soo?" She managed to utter as tears trickled down her cheeks.
" Mmnh" Ji-soo muttered and nodded her head in response.
"No way" She gasped
"My baby sister has grown so big and tall" Ji-woo expressed and chuckled.
" I'm not your baby sister, you're just older than me by two minutes and I could say same for you too, you've grown a lot bigger that I almost did not recognize you" Ji-soo added giggling.
" But you've become so pretty, I can't believe you are my younger sister" Ji-woo complimented and pulled both her cheeks.
" Ouch" she yelped
" You too Unnie" Ji-soo said and flashed a beaming smile at her sister who couldn't help but smile back.
Anyone could see how happy the sisters were,they stood there talking and laughing that they almost lost track of time.
" Hugyeja you will be late for the meeting if we don't leave now" Min kyu stated interrupting the sisters who were now in each other's embrace.
" Oh right, Ji-soo I have a late evening meeting to attend and I do not want to leave a bad first impression by being late, so I'll see you later when I am less busy" Ji-woo explained hastily.
" Oh okay but when exactly is later?" She asked
"Maybe tomorrow at noon after your classes" Ji-woo answered .
" Okay, I can't wait" she said while jumping and clapping her hands.
" And sorry for keeping you waiting" she said and waved apologetically at Min kyu who had an unwavering stern expression on his face.
" I'll be off now, we shall see tomorrow, we have a lot to catch up on" Ji-woo chimed in.
" Yes we do" Ji-soo added.
Although Ji-soo wanted to stay longer with her sister, she knew she couldn't stop her. She just had to wait till the morrow.
" See you soon" Ji-soo screamed and waved at her sister before she turned to go in the opposite direction.
Ji-woo smiled and waved back at her, she didn't leave but kept staring at Ji-soo till she could no longer see her.
" Hugyeja you will be late" Min kyu noted
" Okay, Okay Min kyu, I have heard you, shall we?" Ji-woo scolded.
" Announce that I am here" Ji-woo commanded when the arrived the door of the ruler's inner chamber.
" The hugyeja is here" Minkyu announced.
" Let her in" A voice from inside replied.
The door was opened and Ji-woo walked in to see all the six rulers alongside the supreme ruler present.
She bowed and stood in their middle.
" We welcome you hugyeja. We have called for this meeting to discuss your duties and responsibilities as the hugyeja" Hyunwoo, second in command to the supreme ruler and ruler of air spoke first.
" As the hugyeja, you have so many responsibilities but the ones I am about to call out are the ones of greater interest to us"
"One, You will from henceforth be present at whatever meeting the Sai court holds to take record.
Two, You Shall assist in assessing and rectifying different problems concerning Sai and Earth that will be tabled before us.
Three, you will also take part in Deungdae training from time to time.
Four, you shall work hand in hands with the grim reapers to ensure there is balance between life and death.
These are all your responsibilities for now we will let you know when more arise" Hyunwoo stated and took his seat.
" Would anyone else like to say something? " Sangho asked
"No sire" they all responded in unison.
" You may take your leave now" Sangho commanded.
" Thank you" Ji-woo said before she bowed and took her exit.
