Chapter 20: it will all be okay

"Only five of you will be heading to the designated place where you will be staying for the mean time"Master Seojun revealed.

"The supreme ruler Instructed that Ji-soo be confined in the Sai court premises"

Ji-soo's eyes widened then went dim."You must go now,so you can arrive early, remember it is safer that no one else knows about this. Yoorim you're in charge of everything, when the cleansing ritual is ready we will call for you".

So this was it, they were truly leaving. One after another they got into the palaquin till it was just Yoorim and Ji-soo.

"Cheer up Ji-soo, I hope those are not tears falling down your eyes" Yoorim teased trying to lighten the depressing mood around them.

"Why would I cry, because of you? Huh, you wish" She said playfully throwing her face away. " I'm just sad that I won't have anyone to bully for a while" They both chuckled then wrapped themselves in each other's arms.

"Do take care of yourself Yoorim, I'll miss you so much"

"Why do you talk like we will never see each other again, this will pass before you even know it".

They hugged each other more tightly before Yoorim pulled away"Okay I'll go now, see you soon" Yoorim said waving Ji-soo goodbye while heading to her palanquin.

"Bye safe journey". Jisoo stood there watching as the palaquin left Deungdae premises one by one, she could feel the tears swelling up in her eyes.

Days passed slowly while Ji-soo was confined to her chambers. Each day appeared to be more boring than the previous day. She merely kept herself busing by embroidering or practicing her magic.

It has been twelve days since their suspension and she still hadn't heard a thing about the cleansing ritual.

"Kom kom kom" a faint knock sounded on her chambers doors." It's your mother" Aegyoung voice tingled in Ji-soo's ears.

"Mother" She screamed as she ran happily towards the door, flinged it open and fell into her mother's arms." It's been so long" she muttered to herself.

"How have you been my baby? Aegyoung worried.

"Mother I missed you so much, do you know how lonely I've been?" Ji-soo sobbed as tears fell freely from her eyes.

"My dearest I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry"Aegyoung comforted her as they sunk deeper into each other's arms. Ji-soo missed this, just enjoying her mother's care and cuddles.

Just then Ji-woo who had been hiding behind a pillar behind Aegyoung came into view. "How have you been Ji-soo?".
