Chapter 61: Track: IX & X

"Are you sure, you're okay?" one of the officers, Hutchins, asked her when she sat down on the chair and looked at him almost angrily.

"If I said I'm okay, what didn't you understand?" she snarled, rolling her eyes. "I landed in a trash container, this fucker that pushed me there should be happy it was not empty."

"Yeah, about that…" the man cleared his throat and it was visible he was not comfortable facing that situation. Callaghan was hoping that Machonto was feeling even more uncomfortable.

She moved her wrist that got slammed with the container's edge and pulsated with pain. She was sure, though, it wasn't broken. At least she could use it.

"Excuse me, but I'm looking for… ah, mon dieu, you're here!" Toussaint opened the door and barged inside, as if she wasn't the one to complain over the lack of knocking. Aria didn't comment on the hypocrisy, though. Not that time.
