I apologize for being late in reviewing my own work. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask, and I will do my best to answer. Sometimes, I may not fully understand your inquiries, but I will make an effort. I am committed to this project and will continue working on it unless there is a lack of interest. I’m also focusing on improving my writing and story development. I know the pacing was a bit fast at the beginning, so I’m shifting to a slower pace now. Finally, I hope you enjoy my work, and I welcome any suggestions or edits you might have for the fanfic. Thank You

the story is not bad and for the average viewer it is great even, but a competent reader will notice the inconsistent development of character and their nonsensical duality. also, the plot progresses very unrealistically. all in all, a god story if you are okay with dumb, cringy but readable fics

It's kind of amateurish, but not bad. The author uses ChatGPT though, which takes points away. Another thing to note is that the protagonist has a system, which is not something generally appreciated by Reverend Insanity readers.

unfortunately, this is not a reverend insanity fic. this is a power fantasy loosely based in RI with its power system as the only refined thing. Writing Quality: It is obvious the author has improved his writing abilities since the beginning of the novel, really employing more "show don't tell" than he did earlier in the story, which is promising, but as of the time im writing this, there's no more than 70 or 80 chaps out, so i believe it's still a long time coming if you're looking for the RI aesthetic in terms of pacing and story writing. this leaves a lot to be desired and really kinda slaps the face of RI fans :/. i will admit that you can tell the author loves RI Stability of Updates: Idk i started reading this today, nothing to say, so 5 stars. Story Development: This is where the true quality of this story falls off a cliff. I can look past amateurish writing quality, not being able to fully flesh out all characters so he kills them off prematurely, and even convoluted story telling. What I can't look past is the excuse to use the RI world as a self-inserted power fantasy in which the only thing borrowed from the original novel is the world setting/power system/pre-existing characters/locations. The most frustrating thing is seeing an author obviously come up with too many ideas and trying to integrate them all at once. It feels like a reluctance to take it slow and flesh out story lines. We've all read the slop that is insta-OP get to the top of the food chain fics that eventually have to branch out into multi/omniverse to keep the idea that the main character is a young upstart that is fighting his way through the world! But in reality, those stories (this included) are made by people who figure that more power more fast=better story. I get that system novels are inherently about getting OP, which I can get behind, I eat that shit up, but there is a way to do it in a such a way that enriches the story, rather than hinges the entire thing on it. He gets to Gu Immortal strength within 50 chapters, apparently had a past life in the Gu world, cultivated to Venerable, interacted with characters, made the system for himself AND THEN SENT HIMSELF BACK TO A MODERN WORLD AND THEN BACK TO THE GU WORLD??? Like what? I swear if the author had stretched everything out to 300 chapters, I may be dissatisfied, but this is just disappointing and spits in the readers face. Just like in HP fics, most authors insert their character into a student/teacher role, because Hogwarts is the center of the story, they take you through some elements of the "main timeline" and AU, but mostly include years 1-7, they interact with characters, they face challenges, they meet goals and deadlines they set for themselves. In (good) Naruto fics, depending on the era, they are set in Konoha, mix in main story and AU elements, go from Academy->Genin->Chunin->Jonin->Kage etc. fighting enemies, unlocking bloodlines/sage mode/ocular powers, etc. because those are the main focuses of that wold. The main focus of the Gu world is: "Cultivation is hard and brutal". It doesn't matter what locations you go to or make up, or the characters that you interact with, it matters what you go through. What challenges the MC faces and perseveres or suffers through. What goals the MC wants to meet. What is the motivation for power beyond power? FY wants power for true freedom. Thieving Heaven wants power to go home. Star Constellation (or whatever her name is) wants power for the sake of control and calculation. etc. Levi here wants...? Something? It's hard to tell. Maybe the excuse is the author wanted to give it more time to set a defining theme for his character, maybe he thought short term goals integrated with one another to accumulate into a larger overarching goal. But no, that is not what I see. I see an excuse to utilize the power system of this novel in a creative way. I like some of the ideas, they're fun, interesting, and creative. He created two paths with some great feasibility and it made me think "Yeah, this could be in RI, it'd be cool too!" But it seems the author did not want to push beyond that. He seems content with just making a cool variation of the RI power system, and the freedom to do what he wants with it. Which I can respect. But the lack of actual story beyond just doing something that is slightly relevant to an overarching "Killing and stuff because he's evil and also system makes him kill for awesome rewards" theme is just disappointing. This is not a fanfic of Reverend Insanity, this is a System Novel set in the Gu world. 1 star. Character Design: You can really tell that the author thoroughly enjoys RI and is communicating that through a Fang Yuan-ified cold, calculating, evil self-insert power fantasy MC. His character is one dimensional, but definitely has potential. My hopes are low, however, because if the author can't even find the patience to flesh out this story, I can't imagine the time put into fleshing out the MC. And getting to other characters, they are all... just meh. The author puts in a burst of energy in their first introduction, but after he can't seem to think of anything else and just wants to move along with this idea of a story he has in his head, he either kills them or flips any and all of their character traits on their head and proceeds to write them not according to their established traits, but rather in such a way that doesn't conflict with our MC's over-arching goals. Everything has gone the way of the MC, not just because of the system or getting too OP too quick, but rather because the author is too lazy to provide a challenge. There was a character that he teased and slowly developed as a strong and unyielding woman, then just dumped her as a damsel in distress type of role for 2.5 chaps, killed her and moved on. Didn't bother to make a fight between them, because by the time he got to their confrontation with one another, the MC had already outscaled her 10 fold, so it wouldn't make sense to make her a rival anymore. So, upon that realization, just decided to run with the next story line. Disappointing. 2 stars. Wold Background: I've already harped on this enough. Once again, this is a system novel in the Gu World, not an RI fic. 2 stars for at least retaining some of the ideas of the original setting.

Surprisingly great 😃 My first thought honestly was , a system in reverend insanity what the hell is this 😒 but as I continued reading I found it to be enjoyable and fun , and the mc who I thought was dumb and too nice lol 😂 he wasn’t dumb or nice but a wolf 🐺 in sheep’s 🐑 clothing which was nice 👍 There’s something he though of that I genuinely think that the thief venerable might have done because he too is an otherworldly demon 😅 Spoiler alert 🚨 Also creating you own path is cool and using otherworldly demons as fuel ⛽️ is some creative evil 😈 mastermind thinking .
