Who am I?, Where am I?
Darkness and emptiness that was all he felt. He could still breathe so that was a good thing, but when he spoke all he heard was the echo of his own voice. Movement was also possible but at the same time impossible as he would always end up in the same spot. It looked like he was going around in circles, so he stopped moving choosing to remain stationery as well as silent.
An amused feminine voice echoing from all around the void asked him why he stopped moving or speaking and he despairingly said there was no point in doing that, since by the looks of things presently, he would not get anywhere.
It had been a long time since he got to wherever this place was and his invisible female companion was the first contact resembling life that he had, so he would push his luck a bit, using the opportunity to find out where he was.
So he asked the question that had been plaguing his mind; that is, where was this place?, because the last thing he remembered before ending up there was that he was at a press conference for the launch of the new fantasy video game "Sojourner Chronicles" made by his company Delightful Games Incorporated.
In reply after reading his mind, she told him that where they were was the Spectral plane which was the bridge between consciousness and unconsciousness. Furthermore, right at that moment his consciousness was detached from his body which was in the process of healing.
A chill ran down his spine freezing him to the spot such that he could not move, this had to be a silly joke, a cheap trick that someone was playing on him....it meant that he was in a coma!
Then came the usual questions:
1. Who was responsible for his current state?
2. Who wanted to kill him?
3. Why?, because as far as he knew he had no enemies, except for...
Those thoughts would have to wait for another day as his companion Annaisha revealed herself to him considering it unnecessary for him to dwell on those depressing thoughts at the moment, after all it was she duty to watch him and if she let him continue down this part, she would not be doing a good job at all, which would be severely detrimental to her as she would immediately lose her position as a patron goddess becoming mortal. Moreover, she did not want to lose her first charge vizaviz him, so she pleaded with him cooperate.
Hearing that from this strange lady who claimed to be his patron in this strange new world, it was definite that he had no other choice but to go along with new reality if not he would get lost in this world.
Changing the topic, he asked what would happen to him once they left this place. She told him that by the decision of the higher ups, he would be a given a new life, new identity etc forgoing his old one.
That news rubbed him in the wrong way for two reasons:
1. He would never get to go home again
2. He would never get to find out who was behind his misfortune
As he meditated on this with a sour feeling in his stomach it became regret, then anger, if he was still unconscious and healing as she earlier said, who knew if those behind it would not trace him in order to finish the job. Deciding quickly, he came to the conclusion that he had to save himself by any means possible. There was absolutely no way he was going to forget about his old life.
A plan that was absolutely crazy came to his head. For it to succeed, he had to meet with these higher ups she talked about and convince them to help him, seeing that she would not say anything about that anymore in an effort to preserve herself.
Hence he told her that he wanted to meet her bosses as soon as possible to marshal out some things about his new life, he would not tell her anything about what he wanted to do, as he was completely sure that she would resist it and try to veer him off that path.
They had been talking for a long time since he got there, and though he knew that time was insignificant in this realm, he had been so absorbed in the discussion that he had not taken time to observe her thoroughly.
Looking at her, he noted her appearance, she had:
Long straight hair
Gray colored hair
Blue eyes
Heart shaped face
Heart shaped lips spotting a generous amount of pink lipstick and gloss
Snub nose
A slim but fit figure
Standing at a height of 5ft12inches
She wore a Greek Blue Chiton held in place by a gold belt. The look was finished off by the gold Greek sandals on her feet. At her hip was sheathed an 8 foot long Xiphos sword, in her left hand she held a spartan Aspi shield. At her back was a sheathed spear
When he got back he would have a serious discussion with the development employee whose idea it was to create her.
Noticing he veering off into his previous thoughts again, she told him that it was time to travel to where he would meet her bosses as he had requested, to which he agreed wholeheartedly saying that they had spent too much time in the Spectral plane and therefore some solid ground and fresh air would be a nice change.
She went on to reveal her home, the home gods in her world as High Mountain. Saying that each deity was linked but not restricted to aspects of nature and life. In her case, she was a goddess of War and a protector of humanity in regards to her domain, while having the standard abilities of a god including use of other domains.
For transportation to High Mountain, she suggested that they could either fly or teleport to get there faster. To her dismay he chose the third option of walking there, insisting that he wanted to feel the Earth under his feet.
She was quick to warn him that if he wanted to risk it, he would need training and a good weapon to survive in the wild lands as it was full of various deadly traps, mythical monsters and worse monsters of the human kind in the form of highway bandits who showed their unlucky victims no mercy.
