"Now, let's fight you bastard. I've had enough of you feeling superior." Helena said with a blood-curdling smile of her own, looking extremely sinister.
Naib tried to curb the fear in his heart but he didn't have the time to do so as the demonic Helena charged towards him, her speed absurdly faster than usual.
Fortunately, the pill he consumed increased all of his abilities, allowing him to react on time and raise his falchion to block Helena's attack.
Shockingly, this time, it was Naib who was sent sliding back.
As monstrous as his current body might look, it actually lost in terms of raw strength to Helena's demonic strength.
Subsequently, just like what Naib did earlier, Helena didn't give him any time to catch his breath as she continuously attacked, overwhelming Naib with a flurry of ridiculously strong blows.
'Shit! Shit! How could this bimbo be so strong?!' Naib inwardly complained as he backpedaled desperately.
He knew that he wouldn't last long like this and he had to make a decision.
Should I succumb to insanity?
Will I get my sanity back once the pill's effects tone down?!
Such questions flooded Naib's mind as he struggled to fend off Helena's attacks.
The onslaught went on for a few more seconds before Naib decisively chose to succumb to insanity since the fear in his heart wasn't helping at all and he would die anyway if he failed to defeat Helena.
Thus, even though he felt that he was selling his soul to the devil, Naib chose to let go of his remaining bits of consciousness.
*CLANG*
A powerful blow sent Naib sliding backward, however, after successfully stabilizing his footing, Naib let out a baleful howl, looking even more frenzied as the traces of fear in his expression vanished into thin air.
"Oh? I kinda like this. Let's go then, let's have a frenzied fight to the death!" Helena exclaimed, her excited expression looked sinister due to her pitch-black eyes.
At that moment, it was as if time slowed to a crawl as the two physically enhanced warriors stared at each other's eyes.
Then, after a few more seconds, both of them suddenly disappeared and reappeared right in front of each other, their weapons locked in a deadly bid for supremacy.
This time, no one was blown back.
Embers and purple slash marks lingered in the air for a few seconds as two enchanted weapons continuously clashed, making the ground slightly tremble with each vicious strike.
However, although the two of them seemed equal, Helena quickly lost interest.
"Hmm…So you're not sane anymore huh? Lame"
Realizing that her opponent was now nothing but a mindless beast, she quickly decided to finish the fight by luring the now insane Naib into basic false-opening traps before viciously counterattacking.
The fact that Naib was now falling for such low-level traps basically confirmed that his sanity was gone.
A bit disappointed, Helena decided to end the match.
Her black eyes shimmered with a dark glow as she narrowly avoided a wild horizontal slash from the monstrosity in front of her.
Then, her arm muscles bulged and veins popped out as she used the minotaur's finishing skill to empower her finishing move.
"Ignition Blade!"
*SPURT*
A humongous mutated body diagonally split into two, sending ridiculous amounts of scarlet blood gushing out of each half, some splattering onto Helena's sinister face.
In the end, the valiant Grand Marshal of the Rougenfort Kingdom stood victorious, continuing her undefeated legend.
Once word of the Timberwolf Mercenary leader's defeat makes its way to the ears of the nearby regions, her name will reverberate throughout the lands.
For almost a decade, no one has been able to take the life of the crafty and mighty mercenary leader, except for her, a proud grand marshal of a tier 5 kingdom.
As the black vapor emitted by her body started to dissipate, the blood runes on her cheek slowly vanished.
At the same time, her eyes returned to normal.
A wave of weakness coursed through Helena's exhausted body, prompting her to kneel on one knee to support her weight–her greatsword majestically stabbed deep into the ground.
Such a valiant and picture-perfect scene, etched deep into the minds of the Rougenfortian soldiers as they chanted her proud and victorious name.
Once again, the heroic young grand marshal brilliantly leads them to victory.
