Chapter 66: A silent goodbye

A man suddenly opened his eyes and glint passed through it, he even let out a light chuckle and a genuine smile appeared on his face. His white robe with gold embroidery on it fluttered as he changed his sitting posture into a more casual one. He let his head rest on his hands and looked at the woman idling in front of him.

"You seem happy?" Valkyrie asked after she saw the man smiling which rarely happens.

"He has come," was the only words the man answered but it made Valkyrie overjoyed.

"Are you sure?" she excitedly asked as she expectantly looked at the man. The man simply nodded as an answer and the rare smile on his cold face suddenly brightened. "Then the plan had worked out! He didn't break! That's good news!" Valkyrie can't help but exclaim. She was suddenly excited to return and report to the others about the good news.
