Chapter 238: Reconciliation

In the viscount Grimoire manor,

"Honey, you came early today yet you do not have time for me?" a young woman sighed as she wrapped her arms around her old husband. The man frowned and pushed her away.

"I am not in a good mood. Be obedient and sleep. I will join you later." the woman frowned and muttered something under her breath as she left the room.

The man opened the file and was studying it when the window of his room flapped like it was breaking apart. He frowned.

"No one is maintaining the manor these days. It already needs repairing. Yet…." he paused when he heard footsteps behind him. So it was not that the window was broken. But someone broke it to enter the manor.

But how? He was on the second floor and the height was… he gulped. His heart beating loudly and his stomach churning with fear. It took him seconds to turn only to see that duke Alancaster was leaning on the chair behind him.
