Chapter 377: Meeting Dangers

Ian hurried his footsteps when he found Cotlin waiting in the Duke's chambers. Damien was not there.

Cotlin frowned and his eyes narrowed when he saw Eve in Ian's arms. Quick to his steps, he ran to help him. 

"What in the world happened?" he asked as he brought a glass of water when Ian placed her on the bed gently. 

Ian looked around and noticed Olga coming forward too. He did not know how much he should indulge.

"She fell unconscious while taking a walk in the garden. I assume she is feeling weak again." Cotlin's brow knitted. Again? Had she been sick before. He held her hands and checked her pulse. 

"She did not look ill." Though her face was pale, her pulse was normal.

"So it must be heat or stress perhaps." He feigned worry, making many nods.

"Where is his grace?" he asked again. Cotlin was staring at Eve in confusion. He turned to look at Ian and shook his head.
