“It is our, male werewolves’ responsibility to take care of our mates. You can work, but you don't have to work that hard,” Theo continued saying without noticing my mood.

“As long as you can be a good Luna and support me, it’s enough for me,” he said, which turned me even gloomier.

Theo still had conservative thinking like those elder Alphas, and it wasn't what I wanted from a mate. We had different values.

At that moment, the door was pushed opened and our dishes were served.

“Theo... You know my goal. I want to...” I tried to talk it through calmly and rationally with him, but he cut me off mid-sentence.

“Lottie, when are you going to accept me as your mate?” he asked as he finished chewing and swallowing his food.

I looked at him in annoyance.

Was that all he could think about? When I would accept him as my mate?

He seemed to realize that his words had annoyed me as he changed the subject quickly.
