Chapter 42: Way to the Waymont Estate

The training ground echoes with the clash of wooden swords and the sound of heavy breathing. Lexzandra's vision blurs at the edges, but she refuses to give up. Emrys's stern voice cuts through the haze, guiding her, pushing her.

After almost half an hour, Lexzandra has no energy left. She drops to the ground on her back, breathing heavily and closing her eyes. Her chest moves rapidly up and down as she tries to catch her breath. Emrys approaches her, his hands on his hips, looking down with a mix of frustration and curiosity.

"You're already tired with just a few moves? Have you given up?" Emrys says, his tone almost relieved at the prospect of her quitting.

Lexzandra glares at him, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I haven't given up." She tries to get up, but her vision becomes blurry, the edges of her sight darkening as fatigue overwhelms her.
