Chen Fan fell into deep thought and suddenly realized that the sixth layer of the city might not only be holding pirates but could also possibly be imprisoning rebel naval generals.

Without hesitation, Chen Fan immediately asked those around him, "Everyone, I wonder if there are any rebel naval generals detained on our floor?"

"Interesting, you, young one, for a whole year, all you've done is train every day, and now you're asking questions?" one of the pirates quipped, a hint of surprise in his tone.

"Yes, you, little fellow, you've actually initiated a conversation. I never thought you had any ideas. I'd advise you to give up and just lie down obediently," another chimed in. "What's the use of training on the sixth level of Advance City? You still have those Sea-Prism Stone handcuffs on your hands, which reduce your strength to less than one-tenth."

"That's right, young one," added another pirate, "I didn't expect you to be quite ruthless. In the past year, you've killed at least six or seven people. Now you're worthy of being on the same level as us."

Chen Fan was met with dismissive responses, but he simply smirked and disregarded them. He wasn't a Devil Fruit user, and these circular locks around his arms, although disengaged, had no effect on him.

However, one inmate on the nearby bunk caught his attention. The elderly man recognized the one next to Chen Fan as a former rear admiral of the Navy. They had clashed before he was incarcerated.

Chen Fan had initially thought he wouldn't get any useful information. But then, the middle-aged man diagonally opposite him spoke up.

"It appears so. I recall you being a rear admiral of the Navy, but now you seem to be here as a rebel, just like the rest of us," Hayden Road said mockingly to the middle-aged man behind him.

In response, the man named Budek wore an angry expression but remained helpless. He was bound by Sea-Prism Stone restraints, and his hands were cuffed with Sea-Prism Stone as well.

"What's the matter?" Budek asked Chen Fan with an uncomfortable expression. Although he was a rebel rear admiral, he held no love for these pirates—only disgust.

"I want you to teach me the Navy Six Styles," Chen Fan said earnestly.

The pirates in the cell continued to mock him, saying, "Boy, what are you thinking? Why train in Navy techniques when you could train something else? Why favor the Navy stuff?"

These pirates were inherently opposed to the Navy, so they wouldn't speak favorably about its techniques.

"What do you know, are you so confident that you could defeat Vice Admiral Karp?" Budek retorted.

At the mention of Iron Fist Karp, everyone in the cell fell silent for a few seconds, well aware of the legendary strength of this Navy vice admiral.

However, a few seconds later, a different pirate spoke up, "Oh, you're a rebel naval general, but you mention the name of a naval hero. How amusing! I would've thought you were still a rear admiral."

Budek glared at the pirate who taunted him, his frustration evident. It was true; he was no better off than any of them. He, a former admiral, was locked up in the same cell as pirates.

Chen Fan, in the midst of this mockery, didn't give up. He asked again, "Can you teach me the Navy Six Styles? If you tell me, I'll do my best to learn it, and I promise to help you with whatever you need once I'm out."

Hearing this, Budek pondered for a moment. However, he shook his head, looking at Chen Fan with a sense of resignation. "Even if I wanted to teach you, we're both locked up here, and there's no way to make that happen. Besides, they're right. Cultivating the Navy Six Styles on the sixth level of Advance City is futile, and you have no chance of escape."

"Then who's to say? I enjoy training, and besides, the days here are monotonous," Chen Fan responded. "Might as well share the training methods and principles of the Navy Six Styles with me. Who knows, maybe I'll have an opportunity to help you in the future."

Chen Fan's earnest expression showed that he held hope for a better future. Budek couldn't help but remember his past self but quickly pushed those memories aside.

Budek had been loyal to the Navy all his life, and he had slain countless pirates, numbering in the thousands or more. He had become a rebel admiral in the Navy because of one man, a vice admiral who had killed his wife and daughter.

Budek had escaped by the skin of his teeth, intent on seeking revenge when he returned. But he had fallen into an ambush instead, leading to his arrest by the Navy. Without any evidence or allies to vouch for him, he had been thrown into Advance City.

Chen Fan's offer was tempting, but Budek couldn't help but feel trapped by his own past.
