The situation was growing tense as Borusalino called the branch office, but there was no response. This was concerning since their phones had the highest priority, and the lack of contact was unusual.

"Report, Marshal Kong, the mission has failed. When I arrived, Chen Fan had already fled," Borusalino reported.
Steel Bone Sora was impatient. "What about the situation at the branch?"
"The entire 36th Division has been wiped out. No naval soldiers, including Vice Admiral Agula, have survived," Borusalino reported grimly.
Hearing this news, Steel Bone Sora's eyes filled with anger and rage. It was one of the few times he had felt such strong emotions since becoming a Marshal.
"Damn Chen Fan!" Steel Bone Sora roared. His anger echoed through the entire naval headquarters, causing admirals to wonder what had happened.
After hanging up the call, Steel Bone Sora summoned his subordinates. "Increase Chen Fan's bounty to 100 million. All Lieutenant Generals near the West Sea, mobilize your forces to search for Chen Fan. If you find him, request immediate support. But avoid direct confrontation unless you're a General or higher."
Steel Bone Sora was furious, and he understood the potential danger Chen Fan posed if left unchecked.
Ten days later, the sun rose on the sea as Chen Fan and his crew reached a small island in the South China Sea to replenish their supplies. Chen Fan and Lafayette headed to the island's streets to restock their provisions. Over the past ten days, Lafayette had come to understand why Chen Fan, who appeared so young, was so powerful. Chen Fan's daily cultivation lasted up to 14 hours, a feat most couldn't handle.
"Let's go," Chen Fan said as they finished their shopping and prepared to return to the ship. Chen Fan didn't see the value in lingering on the small island.
However, as they passed a tavern, Chen Fan noticed a familiar figure, though a bit unrecognizable.
"Wait a minute," Chen Fan told Lafayette, who followed him.
They entered the tavern, a place filled with rough and tattooed individuals. It was clear that this wasn't a typical bar.
Chen Fan sat at a table, unfazed by the other patrons. He noticed a young girl with green hair sitting alone in the corner.
"Captain, did you come to this tavern for this girl?" Lafayette asked, puzzled by Chen Fan's intentions.
"Yes," Chen Fan replied, his mind already made up. He had identified the girl as Monet, who had the Snow-Snow Fruit ability. However, she appeared to be around 12 years old now.
Lafayette didn't understand why Chen Fan had stopped at this tavern, especially for a girl, but he didn't question his captain's decision.
Once inside, the patrons paid little attention to Chen Fan and his crew. They ordered two glasses of rum and found an empty table. As Chen Fan approached Monet's table, Lafayette was still unsure about Chen Fan's plan. He had a hard time reconciling Chen Fan's typical demeanor with this unexpected interest in a young girl.
Monet had been drinking and was slightly intoxicated, her face flushed. "Big brother, do we know each other?"
"No," Chen Fan replied bluntly.
"Could you go away? I'm not in a good mood," Monet asked with a scowl.
"No, I have something to discuss," Chen Fan replied.
Monet was already in a bad mood and grew irritated with Chen Fan's persistence. She issued a threat: "If you don't leave, I'll beat you out."
Her outburst drew the attention of the other tavern patrons, who watched with curiosity as a confrontation developed between Monet and the newcomer.
Chen Fan maintained his calm and smiled slightly. "You can try."
Witnessing this exchange, Monet grew even angrier. She channeled her Devil Fruit powers, conjuring ice and snow over her fists and launching an attack at Chen Fan.
