Chapter 359: Someone Magical

The day of the celebration came. It had been keeping all the royals preoccupied for the past week. It was a grand event, and the public was being allowed to enter the palace grounds. Flags lined the air, and countless tables were laid out in the open to serve food and refreshments. There were performers throughout the day, and music could be heard from every corner. 

The sun was shining brightly, making everyone feel like they were in a better mood. But one of them was not enjoying the festivities even though it was thrown in their name.

"You should smile," Tianshi Xue whispered to Prince Qui as they watched a dozen people do acrobatic poses that left everyone wondering if joints existed.

"I've been smiling since eight in the morning. My cheeks hurt," he replied.

Tianshi Xue's fingers slipped in between his on top of the armrest. "The people are happy that you're well. You could at least pretend that you're happy to see them."
