On his face, he made sure that he kept that smile and look of interest as his daughter was rambling in front of him while he was seated on his golden chair in the empty throne room.

Emperor Yang nodded and made sounds at the appropriate times. It was what he did when he was talking to his wife. Sometimes, women only needed to let out their steam and emotions and need for men to shut up and listen.
