Chapter 175: Acid Under the Sink

Tianshi Xue and Prince Qui were in the library, going through their to-read pile. There were still probably a few hundred books in the library that could possibly contain their answer. They could not slow down. But Tianshi Xue's mind was elsewhere. She could not help but feel excited for tomorrow.

She was thinking that it was risky. But not risky enough that she would lose her head over it. It was not like the emperor would do something bad at her for visiting the slave's area inside the palace.  Tianshi Xue knew that much.

With the news of Prince Qui returning always broadcasted throughout the empire with the slaves marching behind him, it has always been said that the slaves were working somewhere in the palace. They were the ones who were living on those small houses near the edge of the palace grounds.
