Chapter 3: Monster Fight Pt 1/2
Leo POV
???: Do you think he will be fine grandfather...?
???: What type of Question is that, look at the size of this man and it's still a surprise he is alive. Being hit by one of the Territory Lord Monsters and still be alive is shocking to me, bit I guess he has A strong body to tank that hit.
???: It was a surprise seeing the Lord of this territory get blown away. He even managed to tear off some of it's flesh, that reminds me what did he use to attack from far away..?
???: Who knows dear, we should just be happy he is a human like us and was challenging the Monster Lord.
Hearing the voices of a woman and an old man made me wake up slowly and the creaking of the bed which I am amazed supported my weight.
I looked at the old man and saw him talking with the young woman before looking towards me.
Leon: May I ask where I am and how did I get here..?
???: Uh, I don't kn-
???: Sure, You are in Grandfathers Home, we originally heard some sound of fighting from all around the jungle even a fire near the tribe tht lives there. We heard a huge noise and saw numerous trees breaking do we came to investigate only to find you standing tall & mighty with you injuries around your body.
Leon: Haha, Guess luck is on my side to have you both save me from death. I was probably the one going around the jungle and fighting the monsters to get used to my powers.
Leon: If Its isn't rude to dk, may I know the name of my saviors?
???: Alright, My name is Keith and this is my granddaughter Melissa. But I have a question ever since we saw the Monster Lord have it's flesh blown apart.
Leon: So I managed to hurt it with Gekishin? Well I guess I had used a technique that led me release shockwaves whenever I punch.
Keith: Incredible, out of all my 8 years living on this Island it's the first time I saw a Monster Lord be blown away by a Punch.
Leon: Monster Lord? What kind of name is that?
Keith: You don't know?
Leon: Just arrived from overseas so don't really know anything about it.
Melissa: A Monster Lord is exactly what its name entails, It rules the nearby monsters and it's territory. Our Island has four Monster Lords that rule over the Sea, Land, and Sky. The monster you were fighting is the Monster Lord of the Western part of the Island.
Keith: That Serpent the one who has been fighting the other Monster Lord that lives in the central region of the Island.
Leon: No wonder it had long scars all over it's body. Guess I got lucky and hit the serpent right on its chest...
Keith: Indeed kid, I don't even know how you got a hit in that Damm serpent when it is always protected by it's steel scales & It's abnormal sense.
Leo: Well enough about that, did you say there was a village here?
Keith: Yes, I am it's old Chief but I am still strong & handsome with my old age.
As we talked more and mores, Someone came inside without anyone of us noticing. Once I heard the soothing voice of a woman was when I reacted and grabbed Murakumogiri that was near me and swung it towards her head but stopped.
???: That's rude, I am just here delivering the extra bandages Keith needed for his guest. Who would have known it was a half-giant & one that has an unbreakable Will.
I looked at the woman straight in the eyes before I put Murakumogiri on the wall beside me and sighed before waiting for Keith to say anything.
Keith: Well, I guess this is as good a time to introduce the both of you especially our guest here.
Leon: Sorry about that, My name is Leon Newgate nice to meet the three of you
Keith: Nice to know your name now
Melissa: Nice to meet ya Leon!
???: Then it's my turn to introduce myself to you, I am Zephyr Jhelum or commonly known as the village's doctor.
Leon: Then you should be my benefactor, and thank you for bandaging up my bruised body.
Zephyr: It is nothing young man, Especially if it's something dealing with those annoying Monster Lords.
Leon: How long was I out for?
Keith: Since the moment we found you till now, It has been 27 hours. Although you should still be knocked out for a few months with that broken ribcage.
Zephyr: But it had seemed as your power or you yourself had stirred up something inside you and made it so your body could still continue onwards.
I though about it before remembering I did so because It was the only thought I had that could have theoretically keep me up to get a punch in.
Leon: Yeah, I might have not known about the Monster Lord and challenged it not knowing it was powerful and had sent me flying with most of my body broken.
Zephyr: That's a surprise, what where you doing that made you think it was just another monster.
Leon: I had saved a village near the beach by killing the monsters attacking them but I later fought more and tested out my new skills on them and worked pretty well.
Zephyr: Haha, If that serpent would have known what you just said it would be enraged.
Leon: Do you have any type of food? I have just been eating some berries on my way through the place.
Keith: I'll take you to the Villages tavern and pay for your food in exchange for helping us deal with the sea beasts attacking our fishermen.
Zephyr: *Sigh* Although the Monster Lord of this Islands Sea is powerful, it doesn't control it's subordinates and let's them do whatever it wants.
Keith: My friend & the other fisherman had been attacked and their boats were capsized losing the village it's good.
I nodded at the old man's words and accepted his request immediately after hearing monsters but it also will get me to check if I can still use my powers while in the sea.
Keith: Let's go young Leo
I got up from the bed and grabbed Murakumogiri before looking around until I saw my white colored Coat and grabbed it before swinging it onto my back.
I lowered my head and got out the house before following Keith to the tavern talked about. While on our way I saw food stalls all around us along with some houses that are being built.
Some people were buying stuff from the stall sellers and the smiling faces of the stall sellers then the others with saddened faces or haggle for a better price made me laugh a bit.
After a couple of minutes, we arrived at the small restaurant and came inside and greeted the other people who were inside and eating.
???: Keith how have you been
Keith: Good enough, how about yours William
William: It is fine but the hunters have brought less meat as the Wolf Packs have moved in with the Wolf Lord and snatch our game when we are in arms reach.
Keith: So it also happened to you guys, Vincent and his fisherman boats were overturned & attacked by the sea beasts losing us the seafood.
William: Well, I believe they are up to something especially if the wolf Packs are coming together by the order of the Wolf Lord.
Keith: If it will be a monster horde we need to get the guards to gather volunteers and the all food gathering groups to just grab as much food as they can.
William: It will be tough, but I believe we can do it.
Keith: Then tell the other guys to scout out the general areas of the Monster Lords. If there is a Monster horde it means the Commander Beasts will show up.
William: That....Will we even be able to survive once more. The last horde destroyed the hous s and one of our storage facilities which made our situation bad.
I looked at them then at the surrounding people before Looking at Keith straight in his eyes.
Leon: I can go and kill the monsters that are forming and at least make the horde smaller. Even if you don't believe me, I already promised Keith to deal with the sea beasts so dealing with the other monsters will be doable.
They both looked at me and William had looked at me with a look that said "Who do you think you are" type of look.
William: Tsk, what if you can kill the monsters. They will overwhelm you and tear you piece by piece, Even if you are a giant your moves would be slow and will get you killed.
Leon: I'm no giant only the Descendant of one that I learned to be myself. And I cannot fall and die to monsters when my journey has not even started.
Leon: I like him like to help others out not because of my kindness but because I want to help them
Keith: Hahaha, That's the spirit young man. Hey Daniel! I'm paying for this kids meal so put it on my tab.
Soon someone yelled from behind the counter and told us to wait.
3 minutes later
Someone came by and told us what we would like to eat, as I did not know what type of food they make I asked the man what food was popular.
???: Ah!, then you must choose the Roasted chicken with traditional sauce served with roast potatoes & roasted vegetables Or if you like to eat healthy a roasted butternut squash filled with a root vegetable & butterbean cassoulet topped with cheddar cheese.
Why does it sound so good? But is the most popular dishes so I might as well eat 2 of each one.
Leon: Can I get 2 each of the most popular dishes your establishment has.And can you also give me your finest beer your tavern has to offer.
Keith: I'll have 3 of the first option please
William: Just give me more beer please
???: Alright, your order will be here in some minutes so please wait.
Leon: Thank you
Keith: Today is going to be a good day with this feast.
Leon: Indeed, I just need to eat and tell me the locations where the attacks happen & what some of these monsters look like. Especially their type of abilities or if they have weak spots.
Keith: Sure kiddo
William: Don't die on us and make it happen like you said, your journey won't end here but it will be the beginning.
28 minutes later
Soon people came out the kitchen carrying our food and It looked very good. The fragrance of the food made it so much better, I'm sure Keith will just jump in and finish his food before us.
I immediately grabbed the roasted chicken before grabbing the chicken leg and tearing it off the chicken and taking a good bite out of it and the taste was so much better than I expected!
Leon: Damm, the traditional sauce coated onto the roasted chicken makes it stand out more. The chicken meat itself gives out a juicy, chewy flavor and when I take a bite the flavors come together and explode in my mouth.
(A/N: Ahem, just me appreciating the anime food and to say most of the Anime food will look better than RL food as it will have anime logic now)
Keith: Told ya he would love the food, I'm just glad I managed to meet Gabrielle and get her to teach the cooks here these delicious foods.
William: Tsk, stop bragging you old fool. just enjoy *munch* your food *munch* with everything in your life *munch* this food is *munch* really great.
Keith: Bloody hell! You dare call me a fool while eating the food I ordered!?
William: Can't let free food go to waste
Keith: Bastard! Give me my food back you old geezer!
I avoided their bickering and continued to eat this heavenly food in peace while being glad I get to eat good food than weird colored berries!
27 minutes later
Once we finished eating & drinking I got the general Locations of the monsters locations and decided to go straight for the sea monsters first. They were the closest and I wanted to test if I could use the Gura Gura no mi power even If I did not eat the fruit or is it something else.
I got up and left the tavern full of drunken old men and walked to the southern side of the Island that the village has it's main source of income of seafood.
While thinking of a way to go to the sea I remember that I had Moby Dick and I felt like a really dumb idiot. I left the village and headed towards my ship that somehow guided me towards it.
2 hours later
After some hours I realized how big this Island is and found Moby Dick standing tall & proud and it seems no one has found it even If it is 160m tall and everyone could see it but I guess not.
I start running towards Moby dick before jumping and landing on top of Moby Dick. Once I landed I felt like my body became refreshed and more natural to be here.
Leon: Weird, but not uncomfortable....
I stopped thinking about it and looked where I came from and told Moby to go towards where I remembered where the sea monsters attacked the fisherman.
The sails on the ship came down and like magic Moby Dick came alive and steered herself towards where I wanted. Thinking about something made me test it to see if it's true and the reason why Moby Dick springs to life whenever I ordered her to travel.
I moved to the right and had also said it on my mind and to my surprise Moby Dick steered herself to the right reading my movements.
Leon: It's shocking to think Whitebeard had a deep connection to Moby Dick and it seems I also have a connection with Moby Dick like Whitebeard once had.
If I remember correctly we only know that he was 50 when he fought against Roger who was 53 at the time. Then there was the 22 year timeskip that made God valley disappear.
Even then we saw him still having Moby Dick but it would probably be way longer. Their bond sure is something, better stop thinking about it and deal with the monsters in front of Moby Dick.
I made Quake bubbles appear on Murakumogiri's blade before slashing Murakumogiri horizontally as a blast of seaquake was released and flew towards the blue serpent creatures and it cut straight to their body before they blew up I
with their flesh & guts falling onto the sea.
I walked towards the top of the ship walking up the stairs before seeing numerous sea monsters rise from the depths and there were some that were 1-2 times more bigger than Moby Dick.
I took a deep breath before taking hold of Murakumogiri on both my hands and started surrounding Quake bubbles onto Murakumogiri then onto the decorated pole. I waited until they got nearer before I swung Murakumogiri in a wide arc that soon released shockwaves throughout the arcs direction.
Leon: Naginata Rasetsu!
After three seconds passed A massive explosion rang out throughout the sea that even the entire Island could see from miles away. The shockwaves had teared through the sea monster in the front and the explosion of the shockwaves consecutive attacks made the sea rise by a massive margin and the sea had split that I could see the sea floor with coral reefs everywhere.
But the most noticable thing was the amount of blood & corpses were soaking the water that is had spread quickly. This had stopped the other sea beasts from the back of Moby Dick, Taking this chance I tried using a similar technique to Naginata Rasetsu but Everytime I swung Murakumogiri it would sent out Vibrations towards my opponents.
Leon: Ikkitosen...
I concentrated before swinging Murakumogiri on all of Moby Dick's sides in wide arcs that had split more bodies of the sea beasts. After some more minutes of swinging Murakumogiri in wide arcs and the sea monsters slowly dispersing.
I took a deep breath before falling to my knee and taking some breaths, using those new techniques made my body go over it's limit and taxing with my body still not used to these movements.
Leo: Dammit, I used so much stamina with Naginata Rasetsu & continuously concentrating while using Ikkitosen but it was effective that killed a huge amount of sea monsters .
I sat down before looking around me and looked at the bloodshed I caused, I grinned a bit before smiling and stood up.
I looked at the distance and saw 2 massive Dark Shadows swimming straight towards me at a lightning pace and I felt real danger but lower than the serpents Lord which made me think.
Leon: Are they the Commander Beast's Keith was talking...?
I tried remembering another of Whitebeards techniques but most were Island or army Destroying ones.
Soon the dark shadows showed themselves and man we're they were ugly but we're every massive. almost 6x times bigger than Moby Dick which is shocking but made me think how big would the Monster Lord of the Sea is like.
???: You dare kill our brethren Human!!!
???:....
Leon: Interesting, You attacked the fisherman First so how is it my fault!
???: What!? Why wouldn't we attack those fishermen, they are weak and too close to our Lords Territory. But Since a human has come in his territory, even daring to kill his subjects.
???: Prepare...to...die...human....
And before I knew it one of them charged straight towards me so I Grinned before using Shingen no Ichigeki and concentrated most of my vibrations around my fist and added multiple layers of vibrations before I brought back my fist.
???: Die human!!!
Once he was near about to break Moby Dick into two halves I jumped into the air and towards the commander beast and Punched it's Head where most of my vibrations hit it's body and his entire body had exploded into pieces.
When I punched and saw it's entire body explode I remembered the water and it was a good time as never to do this. I focused vibrations around my feet before using the shockwaves from the body of the creature to jump through the air.
I jumped higher looking at the other Serpent like creature that stood rooted in it's place before I immediately used Strongest Rampage on and used the vibrations in the air before making my entire body filled with Vibrations which I used in the spur of the moment making myself heavier.
I fell downwards with a huge speed and with the help of gravity it made my kick more powerful than the punch I used previously. The Serpent was about to dodge So I aimed Murakumogiri towards it's head before throwing it as it pierced it's scales that it just now used.
HISS!!!
it started to move around but it distracted it enough that I reached in time before it dodged. Once my food got into contact with the Serpent It Tore Right through it's head.
I took a hold of Murakumogiri before my body went through the serpents body and I had to stab Murakumogiri into the serpents tough skin. After six seconds I managed to stop but the serpent falling made me think quickly before using Naginata Rasetsu in a wide Arc that somehow tore through the serpents entire circular body.
I stepped on the cleanly cut off flesh and jumped out of there In time before the body was sinking into the ocean making the nearby area dyed in red blood.
I though about it before letting myself fall into the water and I looked through the crystal clear water and made me widen my eyes in shock before I used the oceans vibration to get the hell out of there.
I popped out the water and into the air before moving myself backwards avoiding a lightning strike that came from the water. I swear dropped at how close it was before looking around me and seeing countless sea monsters arise and pop their heads out Looking straight at me with bloodshot eyes making me be weird out.
???: CHARGE AND KILL THAT FUCKING HUMAN!!!
Soon all the monsters started to swim towards me at lightning quick speeds. I used vibrations in the air before Coating Murakumogiri in a Spherical sphere filled with Vibrations and grinned before I charged forwards meeting the first sea monster with a swift diagonal Slice as his upper body slowly slid down.
I stepped over some of their heads and kept swinging Murakumogiri in wide arcs as five or six sea beasts died with every swing making me grin but there were some that managed to get a good hit on my body but it didn't really bother me.
I jumped onto another sea beasts head before jumping onto Moby Dick and taking off my Coat and throwing onto the steering wheel of the ship.
???: DAMMIT!?
I looked towards the direction of the voice and saw another monster the same as I killed before but with the one speaking. I believe they revived themselves and gathered their forces to wipe me out.
Leon: This more like it! Time to test my endurance and train myself using you guys.
I took in a huge breath before breathing out which I coated my fists into quake bubbles that were filled with Vibrations and focused more vibrations on it before I placed Murakumogiri on the side.
I did the same to my other hand before I reached out my hand in a grabbing motion and grinned before bringing my hands down where all those sea beasts came out of the sea and like teleportation they had managed to appear above the sky.
I spit out blood before using more vibrations on my body and grabbed Murakumogiri before overwhelming myself by adding a massive amount of Vibrations onto Murakumogiri.
Leon: I'll deal with the two of you Later...
I coughed up blood once again and slowly but surely started to move Murakumogiri which became insanely Heavy but it is worth it to kill these fucking beasts at once.
Leon: Quake... Eruption...
When I swinged Murakumogiri, the sea beasts falling downwards felt their bodies twist & turn before exploding into blood red mist. Slowly the thundering sky split into two and the blood fell onto the island and sea painting it red.
After I swung in a full arc the weight of Murakumogiri depleted before it turned back to it's original size. I looked at the sky and saw the bodies of the two beasts tore open but they still were slowly moving around.
Leo: Well shit....I can go for another two hours before I pass out...
SPLASH!!!
SPLASH!!!
The two huge sea beasts fell onto the ocean and made me take a deep breath before spitting out blood. I placed more vibrations inside myself preparing for what else they might throw me out, they would definitely kill me as I'm getting tired.
I really have overworked my body to the max, my legs & arms feel ready to give up on me but I gotta Finish this.
Leo: Let's see how long I can survive, I better get better after this...
Unknown to me I had caused a massive uproar in the nearby Is Islands and announced myself to the Monster Lords and waking up the Ocean monster Lord that had been on deep slumber after 1,000,000 years.
If I survive then I would be stronger than before but more injured than before that I think is better even If it's extremely painful.
