« No survivors. And the bodies couldn't be retrieved. They most likely have been burnt to crisps.»

« No way! How can he make you his heir to his properties?! Is it because you are the only male?»

Zhu Qian woke up with a start, and was greeted by a giant close-up face.
Startled, Zhu Qian tried to scream but all that came out of his mouth was incoherent gurgling nonsense.
He stopped screaming after hearing the sound that came out of his mouth. He scouted his surroundings, and came to realize what was happening.
He had reincarnated into this world. And the owner of the face was none other than his sister, who always came to check up on him when he was still in their mother's stomach.
She appeared to be around seven years old, and had a stern look on her face. One that wasn't meant to be found on a child's face but an adult.
She was the carbon copy of their mother. Her body figure was still that of a child, but in the years coming, she would undoubtedly grow up to be a beauty.
Zhu Qin, his second sister, had developed the habit of being the first person he would see after waking up , since the day he came into the world.
Zhu Qian could see how much she loved him, but the only problem is …she didn't know how to express it. His other sister, Zhu Yin , was unemotional. Before one could see an emotion on her face , it would take a lot of concentration.
Both his sisters had their mother's beauty but inherited their father's attitude.
" Hmmm…You woke up an hour earlier than expected. " Zhu Qin praised him in her cute voice, but her tone was plain. One would think she was pulling their legs, but that was how she was.
' That's because I had a nightmare. And why are you even monitoring me to the extent you know the time I wake up?! Even our mother doesn't know.' Zhu Qian complained.
" Today, Big sister will show you our entire household. " With that said she stretched her hands forth, and picked him up from his crib.
' Finally! I can now breathe in the air of this world. ' Zhu Qian laughed merrily, but all that came out of his mouth were a series of giggles. He didn't know why he was always cooped up inside his parents room, but he didn't care. All that matters is that he was finally going out.
Seeing how excited her brother was to see the world, Zhu Qin quickly made her way out of his room.
The bright sunlight hit his face, and he quickly closed his eyes. The rays from the light burned his eyes, and drops of water fell from his eyes.
After the pain receded, he opened his eyes slowly. After they had gotten accommodated with the new sensation, he took in the scenery of the environment.
Zhu Qian sucked in a deep breath. The view…The view was breathtaking. The manor was beautifully structured, and decorated with flowers which corresponded with the hair and eye color of their parents.
" He seems eager to take in the scenery by walking on his own legs. " A cold voice said behind them.
Zhu Qin turned around with Zhu Qian in her arms to see the person who spoke. It was none other than their big sister, Zhu Yin. She was three years older thanZhu Qin, and still considered a child.
' Are this how children in this era behave?! Like adults?! And when did she even arrive?'
Zhu Qian stared at her with a smile.
Zhu Qin looked at her sister in the eye like she was her rival, and drawled out her words teasingly,
" Ohh….. does…he ?~"
' Oh Come on ! This isn't how my day is supposed to be .'
Zhu Yin's expression didn't change, but the way she looked at her sister was perplexing.
" Let's go. Father and Mother await our presence. "
She turned around and walked down the corridor. Zhu Qin pursed her lips, and brows lifted up into a frown before following behind her.
Zhu Qian was tired of their bickering, and focused more on the surroundings. Everything screamed wealth!
They soon arrived at an open space garden. In the middle laid a feast for just a family of five. Their parents were already seated at the table.
Seeing them, their mother beamed a large smile at them , which Zhu Qian returned.
" Awwn~ My baby missed me …?"
Zhu Qian made a grabbing motion at her , and she picked him up from Zhu Qin's arms.
" Let's eat. " Father said, after everyone was comfortably seated. While Zhu Qian was in his mother's arms enjoying her warmth.
He was just six months old , but had already started walking. Of Course ! It was because he was hardworking. Babies of his age were just starting to crawl.
" The selection will be coming up in seven months, how prepared are you?" Father asked Zhu Yin.
' Selection..?'
Zhu Qian perked his ears and listened, as his mother fed him . He had already grown two pairs of teeth. And could take in thick liquids apart from breast milk.
" It's going well , dad. " She answered with a respectful tone.
" Hmm. Take it easy ,dear . You are already strong. Don't push yourself too hard. " Mother said as she wiped my lips clean.
" Mom…we shouldn't be lax. Our enemies aren't resting, and so we shouldn't."
" That's true." Father added.
Immediately mother sent him a glare, which made him gulp down his saliva.
' Ah! Father is afraid of mother. I like this discovery. '
" I know. All I am saying is that you shouldn't overwork yourself. If you suddenly fall I'll because of excessive training, how would you be able to stand up to your enemies? Do this for mom, Okay ?"
Zhu Yin bit her lower lips before sighing in defeat.
"....Okay."
' There was no way anyone could say no to Mom. She is a manipulator. I wonder…is that how she got Father round her fingers?'
" Qin'er, how is your cultivation coming up? Any difficulties?"
" No, dad."
" Qin'er…." Mother probed. Although she asked in a caring done, there was an underlying threat behind it.
" I….a bit. " She finally relented, and spoke the truth.
' See ? The IQ grade for these children is too high. I mean…"
" Don't ever hide something like that from us , again. " Mother reprimanded her.
Encountering a problem in cultivation, and not tackling it immediately can result in a big issue. It could wreck the core. And one might never be able to cultivate again.
Zhu Qian knew the reason why Zhu Qin lied. He had watched the interactions between the sisters keenly, and realized that Zhu Qin very much wanted to be like her sister.
She wasn't to be blamed. Even Zhu Qian wanted to be like her . Strong, calm, beautiful…. qualities one would find in a wonderful woman.
They talked about other miscellaneous things as they cleared the table of food.
' Agh..!!! Baby hormones..!'
Zhu Qian, having burped in satisfaction, was already dozing off. Coupled with the natural heat from his mother, he curled up in her arms and closed his eyes.
" Shh…he is sleeping."
That was the last thing he heard as he journeyed into slumberland.
