Chapter 65: Wake Up Call

[King]: "Are they done with the library already? I might just want to talk with that Maximilian again, personally. He piqued my interest."

[Franklin]: "But Your Majesty, you haven't set up an audience yet—"

[King]: "I told you to call me by my name when we're alone, Franky. Hearing everyone else call me that feels good but also cringy at the same time."

Standing before the King's desk full of nothing but golden figures, Franklin brought news to report, however, the King's attitude made it sound like it wasn't a good idea.

The King's eyes had turned into glares eight after Maximilian had exited the throne room, and Franklin know very well that when the King says someone piqued their interest, the worse that could come to them was death.

The King could have the unnamed man killed, however, he might have put into consideration that he leads a city, and killing him would make that same city turn against him.
