Chapter 84: Sought Out Answer

A face carved smoothly unto the stone, yet ruined and broken into pieces that were slowly weathered by time itself.

It was what was left of the statue that stood in the middle of a bed of flowers years ago. A statue that depicted Grantt's mother as a warrior.

Altora: [How long was it...?]

Grantt: [Ten years. My father began to sculpt it when my mother died giving birth to me, or that was at least what I knew.]

Grantt, for the first time, was seen praying at the image of a broken statue. His hands were together, and his eyes closed, relaxed with a silent prayer.

Altora somewhat understood that Grantt's mother wasn't dead, but after years and years of being unseen by anyone nor even his father's connections, she would assume that she was dead.
