After Viel said yes, a bright light erupted from the beast core as it dissolved into particles while an ethereal wisp entered inside Viel.

"What should I do to prove that I am worthy of his loyalty?"Viel didn't know what to do.
"Do you have a problem, Viel?"
"Yes. To be able to control my named creature, I need to prove I am worthy. As I wasn't able to consume it as I wasn't recognized by it, I wasn't able to gain its loyalty."
"Hmm…" Alexander pondered what Viel could do.
"What do you suggest I do to prove myself?"
"You told me that animancy dealt with the soul, right? Why don't you overwhelm it with your soul? Although it's the soul of a Deimos-rank creature, after all the years that have passed since I killed it, it should be very weak."
'I don't know if I will be capable of doing it. I'm not even an Apostle yet.
Viel summoned his Soul Book.

Since he learned Animancy, a new stat appeared in his Soul Book, the Soul Stat. It measured the strength of his soul and for every Stat Point, he could store a soul to use. He noticed his Soul Stat was a little higher, Eriol told him that it was like that because he died, reincarnated, and received the blessing of Max in the form of his random special ability, Jack-of-All-Trades [Ex].
Suddenly he remembered the legendary item he received from Himea, the Angel that helped him and Lux reincarnate, after he hypnotized her to give him two privileges.
Not wanting to use it in front of his father as it will create a lot of problems, he decided to leave his father's office.
"I think I have found the solution following your advice. I take my leave to prepare for it. Also, greetings from Lux."
"Tell him to man up if he wants to protect himself and Iris from harm. Neither you, nor Mother, nor me, will always stay there to protect him."
Alexander rang a small bell in order to call for Alicia.
The moment Alicia stepped inside the office, Alexander ordered her to escort Viel to the training area.
The Barbatos Academy followed a strict rule. All students could stay in Elysium for five days before they needed to return to the academy, then they had to stay there for two days to give their reports to the academy.
Just like Wildgarde Stronghold, the Barbatos Academy had managed to create a kingdom of its own within Elysium. It was jointly managed by a council, composed of representatives from each of the six kingdoms, as well as Alexander, who served as the Head of the Council.
As a Saint, he held the strongest deterrence force that kept those who eyed the academy, as well as their kingdom in Elysium—that they had named the Barbatos Kingdom—at bay.
The purpose of the students inside the academy was to become stronger and help expand their Domain. Only those who had attained the rank of Apostle were allowed to enroll at Barbatos Academy.
Alicia accompanied Viel as they went to find Iris in the Sky Garden of Barbatos Academy. This particular garden was divided into four areas.
The first one was for the students with commoner backgrounds.
The second was for those with noble backgrounds.
The third was for the elite students of the academy who had shown exceptional talent in Elysium. This special area didn't care whether you were a noble or not. As long as you had results, you would be a part of this exclusive club.
Everyone wanted to enter this circle of the Elites because they were truly the recognized prodigies of the six kingdoms that backed Barbatos Academy. Even Princes and Princesses could not enter the Elite Circle, regardless of how much influence and money they tried to use.
And last, but not least, was the private sanctuary of the Kaizer family. Since Alexander was one of the strongest humans in the Western Regions of Solais, no one dared to defy him whenever he made a decision.
This was also the case for the part of the garden where Iris usually stayed with her Beast Companions whenever she wasn't training.
When Viel and Alicia arrived at the garden, they saw Iris playing with her Beast Companions, Iris' profession was a Beast Tamer, who also specialized in Monster Breeding. When Iris saw Viel, she fixed herself and ran to them to greet Viel. Seeing this, Alicia decided to leave to give them time to catch up.
"Brother Viel, long time no seeing you. How have you been? What about Lux and Grandma Vera? I have heard that Lux has failed again this year."
"Relax. I've been well. Grandma is as healthy as always and although Lux has failed again, he has encountered a good opportunity."
"What good opportunity?" Iris was curious about her other brother.
"Don't tell anyone about it, neither Alicia nor father. Lux has recovered from his body condition."
"REALLY!! That's fantastic, when will he enter Elysium? He better come to see me before going there, if not I will make sure he regrets it." She was truly happy and excited about this. After all, her cherished brother could finally achieve his dreams.
"Due to having failed the Wildgarde Stronghold trial before recovering from his condition he can't enter Elysium, but he will be able to enter through a different method in the dwarven territory."
"Dwarven territory! Will he be safe? I never heard of anyone going into the dwarven territory."
"Don't worry. I will be with him, but I won't be his guardian. He is old enough for that."
"Okay. You leave me more at ease." Iris approached Viel and gave him a hug.
"What's the matter, Iris? Feeling emotional?" Viel said with a mocking tone.
"You jerk! Can't you get it?"
As Iris said that, she came closer and closer to Viel until their lips were on the verge of touching. Not wanting to appear to be too dense he took the initiative and kissed her.
Viel and Iris are lost in a moment of intense passion as their lips meet. Their embrace is fiery, their bodies pressed against each other with an insatiable hunger. Viel's hand cradles Iris' cheek as he deepens the kiss, exploring every inch of her mouth with his tongue.
Iris' arms wrap tightly around Viel's neck, pulling him closer as they kiss with an unbridled desire. Their breaths are ragged, their hearts beating in unison as they revel in the ecstasy of their forbidden love.
The kiss lingers, a moment frozen in time until finally, they break apart, their eyes locked in a gaze filled with longing and affection.
"I love you Iris, my dear and lovely sister." said Viel as he caressed Iris' cheek.
"I love you too Viel."
They shared another kiss, but this one was just a peck.
"While coming to the Academy I heard some students talking about the prize of this year's tournament. What it's about?"
Once every four years, a grand tournament would be held in Barbatos Academy, the Gathering of Heroes, to showcase the young talents within the Western Regions of Solais. All participants must be Grade A Apostle or below in order to join this prestigious event.
The Final Four would receive amazing prizes from the sponsors of the event. The six kingdoms that backed Barbatos Academy often used this opportunity to gather young talents and bestow upon them the rank of nobility in order to bring them under their wing.
"So you didn't know about it…Never mind, I think it's time for you to know about it." Viel could see Iris' preoccupied face as she prepared to tell him about the tournament's prize.
"Father has decreed that whoever became the Champion would become my fiance."
When Iris said that, Viel couldn't contend his anger as he slammed his fist on the crystal table shattering it.
"Really?... Does grandma knows about it?"
"No, I don't think that Grandma Vera knows about it. If she knew, she would come here the next instant to beat up Father."
"Iris, I promise you that I won't anyone else than me become your fiance. Maybe I am not as powerful or strong as your other suitors, but I will train and fight to even be it more than them!"
While he held her hand as he promise to win the tournament, inside his head he was also thinking about other things.
'Copy' Viel said inside his head.

< Stat copied successfully, congratulations >
Viel refrained from summoning his Soul Book as it would confuse Iris, so he decided to call it a day and say goodbye to her. Also, it was already getting dark, so Iris called Alicia to guide Viel to his room.
After making sure he was all alone, he summoned his Soul Book.
