The night was dark and rainy, with the constant sound of cars passing quickly on the wet road. Alex, our protagonist, was walking alone on the side of the road, lost in thought. His personal problems weighed on his soul, and he didn't even notice the light of a car's headlights approaching quickly.
Suddenly, the sound of screeching brakes filled the air, and the vehicle barely managed to stop before slamming directly into Alex. Despite the braking, Alex was struck by the front bumper and thrown several meters into the air before falling to the ground, still conscious.

As passersby and drivers tried to comfort him, Alex couldn't stop thinking about something that seemed trivial compared to his situation.
'I didn't manage to finish Rimuru's manga,' he thought with a wry smile. The irony of life, the fragility of its final moments, and the absurd preoccupation with a fictional story mixed in his mind.
Perhaps, amidst the pain and frustration, finding a glimmer of humor in this situation was Alex's last form of resistance before plunging into darkness.
