'Really? Then why don't you explain what true magic is?' Ben asked in his mind, surprised by the reaction of the system.

'Stop bringing something up if you are going to leave me hanging in confusion.' Ben responded in his mind, his mood ruined by the system's intervention. He then focused back on the actual conversation: "So first thing first, where is magic stored?" 

"It's in the mana core; you can even sense it using magic." Both of them said it at once, making Ben even more confused. But before he could ask anything, his ears picked up a rattling sound from behind. 

Ben's instincts snapped to attention, his senses sharpening as he sensed an imminent attack. With swift seriousness, he spun around, arms crossed, ready to engage. He activated 'Crimson Veins', fortifying himself to absorb the impact of the strike.
