Chapter 10: It's a pure Coincidence
Zenith cleared his throat and then Linda bothered to lift her head up and found her husband standing right in front of her.
Quickly changing her posture she sat straight in the bed waiting for him to speak.
"Mm, Sorry for coming inside and startling you, but I knocked the door, there was no answer and I found the door open so I entered.", Zenith said with an voice that was apologetic.
"It doesn't matter. It was my mistake as I didn't hear to your knocking. What is the matter for you to come to me?", Linda asked with a smile in her face as she knows that he wouldn't come to her without any matter to discuss.
"Right, today there is an party in my house for welcoming my younger brother.", Zenith said.
Chris was Zenith's younger brother and he had just returned from abroad after his studies.
"Now? You should have said me earlier.",Linda said with a disappointment in her voice. She was very exhausted and had no strength to stand up. She at least needs an hour of sleep.
Zenith checked his wrist watch it was half past three and he found that there is four and a half an hour left before the party starts.
"The party starts at eight in the evening. You can relax a bit and then get ready by half past seven.", Zenith said and left the room without waiting for her answer. He knew that she was tired. That was the reason he left the room without waiting for her answer.
The one thing that he didn't know was why was he concerned about her.Not putting much thoughts into this he walked straight into his study and started reading some random documents.
It was seven in the evening and finally Linda was seeing the mirror and the God knows how much times, she was wearing a black off shoulder mermaid dress with a split starting from upper thigh of the left. Her hair was left loose and her outfit was matched with a black seven inch heel. The only jewelry that shined was her wedding ring.
She steps out off her room and walks downstairs careful without tripping. She found Zenith sitting on the sofa and was playing with his phone.
She cleared her throat to get his attention and it was successful. He turned his head and found her beautiful. She really looked pretty in this dress.
'Oh! Wait I'm wearing black and he is also wearing a black tuxedo. This wasn't planned. It's a pure coincidence..', a smile crept on her face while she thought about this.
Walking out of the house Zenith opened the passenger side of his Maserati and allowed Linda sit and he walked towards the driver side and started the car.
A bright smile was evident in Linda's face and of course one can say that she is zoned out just by looking her face.
He moved closer to her and his breathing hit Linda's bare shoulder and that brought her back to her senses.
Surprised by his action Linda blinked her eyes like a kid that went missing in the amusement park.
He pulled the seat belt of her's and helped her wear it, "One should wear the seat belt for safety."
He sped his car and reached the venue by quarter to eight.
