In the depths of the night, Ryu found himself lost in a restless slumber, haunted by the ghosts of his past. Images of his village engulfed in flames flashed before his eyes, the anguished cries of the innocent echoing in his ears.
As he wandered through the charred remains, he was confronted by the specters of his former neighbors, their accusing eyes filled with sorrow and despair.
Villager: Why, Ryu? Why did you let this happen? why was you late
Child: We trusted you, Ryu. We thought you would protect us. why didnt you
come faster
Their voices reverberated through his mind, each accusation like a dagger to his heart. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't escape the torment of his memories.
Ryu: I'm sorry... I'm so sorry...
But his apologies fell on deaf ears, the weight of his guilt crushing him beneath its relentless weight.
Just when he thought he couldn't bear it any longer, a familiar presence appeared beside him, a beacon of light in the darkness.
Yizo: Ryu, snap out of it! This isn't real.
With Yizo's encouragement, Ryu forced himself to confront the phantoms of his past, to acknowledge his failures and find the strength to move forward.
As he emerged from the depths of his nightmares, he found himself standing in the dimly lit room of the inn, his heart still heavy with the weight of his guilt.
As Ryu slowly opened his eyes, the dim light filtering through the window of the inn greeted him. Stretching his limbs, he rose from the bed and glanced around the room, his mind still foggy from sleep.
But as he shook off the last remnants of slumber, he felt a familiar presence stirring within him. Turning inward, he found himself standing in the depths of his own mind, facing the ethereal form of Yizo.
Yizo: Rise and shine, Ryu. Another day, another adventure awaits.
Ryu: What are you doing here, Scaleshead?
Yizo: Hey now, no need for name-calling. I'm just here to keep you company, as always.
Ryu: I don't need your company. I need answers.
Yizo: Answers to what, exactly?
Ryu: Everything. Why do i have to see these dreams everytime? why do i have to suffer?
Yizo: Ah, the age-old questions. Unfortunately, I don't have all the answers. But what I do know is that you have the power to shape your own destiny, Ryu. You're not just a pawn in someone else's game.
Ryu: Easy for you to say. You're not the one out there facing danger every day.
Yizo: True, but I'm here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
Ryu: Fine. But don't expect me to start enjoying this.
With a sigh, Ryu turned his attention back to the waking world, knowing that whatever challenges lay ahead, he wouldn't face them alone.
