Chapter 1: Schizophrenic

Character Introductory #1:

[Tristan Moore]

A 22-year-old blonde Caucasian with a muscular physique. His friends say he has majestic green eyes. Graduated from Harvord University with a doctorate in Biology.

—————————

Glass shards scattered around me as I leaped out the window of my intruder-infested 13th-floor hotel room. Thinking on the spot, I much rather preferred a falling death than one where I'm fighting against bizarre goblin-like creatures armed with daggers. I said "goblin-like" as goblins seemed too unreal to be true.

As gravity pulled me down, an clear screen appeared before my eyes, slightly capturing my attention while I began flailing my arms. And that's when I realized something.

"Ha, so the goblins were most likely figments of my imagination," I mused. "In that case, I, Tristan Moore, must have been schizophrenic! How fun!"

And with those final words, I plummeted through the glass roof of a nearby church building, meeting my fate as I was pierced by a stone Christian cross.

~~~
Darkness. No clouds, angels, or pleasant music. Neither was there fire, demons, or pained screeches. Darkness was what I woke up to, and perhaps will be what I see for the rest of eternity.
"Hello? Anyone out there?"
I was about to call out once more when suddenly, a white silhouette of a man appeared in front of me.
"What are you doing here, young man? The game quite literally just started, and you've already died. I don't quite understand how anyone can manage such a feat."
"WHY ARE YOU BLAMING ME, D*MNIT? I WAS PEACEFULLY SLEEPING IN MY HOTEL ROOM WHEN A GANG OF WHAT'S-IT-CALLED ATTACKED ME. DID YOU EXPECT ME TO FIGHT BACK OR SOMETHING? I GRADUATED WITH A BIOLOGY MAJOR FOR CHRIST'S SAKE."
"There, there, young man, calm down. I never expected this myself either. After all, who would be so incapable-"
"Alright, alright, I got it. On a more important note, who are you?"
The silhouette scoffed.
"Who am I, you ask? I am the one and only creator of this god-sponsored game, and I am the one who put you here. Or more simply, the game did."
"Creator?"
I stopped breathing for a second, contemplating my previous dialogue with the man, where I behaved most ferociously. I was most definitely screwed. And then I decided to act.
"I DONT GIVE A D*MN WHO YOU ARE, GIVE ME MY GODD*MN LIFE BACK!"
(It was a shame I lost my thought process at this moment, as I was normally a very intelligent man. If I did, the next few passages most definitely wouldn't have happened.)
As I lunged forward to throw a punch at the man, he swiftly dodged to the left and subdued me to the ground. I squirmed, desperate to break free and land some damage on him.
However, all my attempts were futile as he effortlessly turned my body into a fleshy pulp with a single devastating blow. To my surprise, within seconds, he regenerated me back into human form. He continued this relentless cycle, repeating the process over a hundred times. It seemed like an endless torment I couldn't escape from.
