Chapter 2: Betrayal

Michael then froze at this scene because he remembered a scene from 'Highscho*l of the Dead' and 'Walking De*d'. With that memory in his mind he began to escape from the classroom but of course he remembered to drag Le, his friend with him.

Just as Michael and Leo reached the door of the classroom a scream sounded out from the direction of the awakened fainted students. Michael turned his eyes toward the sound and he was horrified because he was right, his deduction was right because the fainted students was biting the legs of the gossiping students who gathered there.

'I was right, it was zombies' Michael then opened the door and the scene like it was from hell shows up.

There was blood everywhere while many students and teachers was running away while some students and teachers that was the closest to the fainted in the hallway was bitten or clawed by the zombies and they are screaming in pain and fear.

Without Michael have to say anything Leo ran downstairs and Michael too ran downstairs but it was packed with other students and teachers running away, he even saw a student stomped to death on the stairs because they are too busy running away.

"oy, Leo let's use the emergency stairways" Michael spoke while shaking the stunned Leo.

"ri...right..." Leo followed Michael but the hallway was full of zombies right now.

From the place where he stand Michael could see the red steel door of emergency stairways on the end of the hallway. Backing away slowly Michael dragged Leo with him.

Whispering softly Michael spoke "Leo you grab the mop while i grab the broom there alright then we charged while using the broom and mop to push away these zombies"

"okay" Leo nodded too.

The both of them ran toward the broom and the mop, they both grabbed their respective weapon. They rushed forward and if any zombies noticed them they will push the zombies and it seem the zombies was slow as long they run and kept pushing the zombies they will be okay.

Along the way toward the emergency door they heard screams on the classroom that they passed but as they got closer toward the door the screams decreased as the place near the emergency door was one of the unpopular hanging spot.

Just as they passed halfway toward the emergency door an unusual zombie shows up, this zombie different from the other zombies, it can run, it even run a little faster than Michael and Leo thankfully the fast zombie noticed them a little late.

As the fast zombie got closer to them, Leo and Michael run franticly, Leo even threw his bag at it to slow it down but as they pass three quarter into the door the fast zombie got closer to them. Leo became even more nervous as he looked around and Michael reluctantly prepared to threw his bag since it contain snacks that have high energy that Dea as usual put it in there.

"sorry" Leo suddenly whispered and he threw his mop at Michael who protected his back as there was no more zombies on the hallway only some in the reserve classroom beside them but who knew what they are doing in these empty classroom before.

Michael who didn't except this at all receive the full brunt of the throw and he fall on his back while Leo continued to run even faster with all his power.

Michael who fall on his back was dazed at this betrayal but he saw that the fast zombie was closing in to him. Just as Michael got up and prepared to fend off the fast zombie as the other zombies was still slowly walking here, Leo reaches the door and shouted.

"thanks man, you are a real friend. Hahaha..." Leo opened the door as he shouted and his shout even attract more zombies to the hallway where Michael is.

"Fuck you Leo!!!" Michael shouted in anger while he pushed the broom toward the fast zombie but the zombie just waved his hand toward the incoming broom and it flew off from Michael's hand.

The fast zombie then jumped to Michael seem to want to bite his face off or his neck off. Reacting as fast as he catch Dea wok throw he shield his neck with his left hand resulting his hand to be bitten by the fast zombie.

In the instant the teeth of the fast zombie pierced through the school's uniform and bit into Michael's skin as the zombie bite into his flesh, Michael remembered he still had Leo's knife on his pocket.

Swiftly he took out the knife and put the sheath on his mouth before pulling it out, just as he felt the zombie was about to reach his bone he slammed the sharp edge of the knife into the zombie's eye until the edge shows up on the back of zombies head.

The zombie fall bringing Michael's hand with it and an incredible pain flared up on his left hand as he felt the weight of the zombie's body that worsened his wound.

"Argh!!!" Michael screamed in pain that was muffled because of the sheath in his mouth and sweat immediately drenched his school uniform.

Gritting his teeth against the sheath he tried to pry off the zombie's teeth from his hand but it was hard and with every movement he made it bring a burst of pain into his left hand but Michael could only grit his teeth even harder and pried off the zombie's bite.

Right after Michael finished releasing himself from the zombie's firm bite blood flowed out even faster from his wound while the slow zombies was just around five meter from him. Sweating badly he grabbed the knife and pulled it off from the zombie's head with his right arm, as he pulled out the knife blood gushed out from the place he stabbed along with some white brain matter.

Shaking he walked while placing the bloodied knife on it's sheath on his mouth then he let go of the sheath and placed the knife on his pocket.

Felling himself weaken Michael knew even if he could reach the emergency stairways he wouldn't have any energy left to open it so he went to an opened reserve classroom beside him and locked the door.

Michael then took off his school uniform and while doing it the clothes that go stuck on the wound was pulled but Michael just gritted his teeth and pulled it off.

Michael then took the knife once again an cut the left and right arm of his uniform, he threw the left arm part and pulled out an small aid kit that only contain a small bottle of alcohol and band aid kit.

Michael pulled off the bottle cap with his teeth and place the sheath on his mouth again before pouring the alcohol on the bite wound. Michael bite the hard sheath with all his might once the pain burst in his left arm.

After the pain faded away a little he dropped the sheath and pour the leftover alcohol on his ripped right arm uniform. Michael then warped the clothes around the bite wound on his left forearm.

Standing up Michael sheathed his knife and put his knife on one of the table on the empty classroom, just as he was about to push some table to block the door he saw a corpse immediately he became alert and once again pulled his knife out but after searching the whole classroom he found no zombies so he went back pushing tables.

After pushing some tables Michael leaned on the wall and sat down, just as he was about to rest he heard some movement and he opened his eyes seeing the 'corpse' stand up while walking slowly toward him.

"oh yeah, i just remember the bite transmit virus huh" Michael stand up with difficulty and walked toward the zombie with a knife in his hand.

Michael then stabbed the knife into the eye's of the male zombie but the knife didn't go through it's head like before and the knife was only halfway in.

As the corpse fall the knife fall with it too as Michael didn't have that much energy to hold it tight anymore. Crouching down he took out the knife and wiped it on the corpse uniform before Michael went back to his stop and sat down.

"so i will became a zombie too huh... i hoped i will become an mutant zombie like the fast one so i can kill that bastard Leo"

Michael then close his eyes to sleep with his hands still holding the knife and with his bag beside him.
