In the room, Diao Chan and Cai Wenji are lying down on the bed that was prepared especially for them, accompanied by Ying Yue who is holding Yaoyao while Chenchen is being held by Wannian beside her, they are talking harmoniously and this is the scene that Lie Fan saw when he entered the room.

Lie Fan hurriedly approached the room, where the door was opened and a midwife came outside, informing Lie Fan that it was a girl.
Fearing that Lie Fan will be disappointed the midwife looked down, not seeing that Lie Fan gives a big smile and then let out a hearty laugh.
For Lie Fan, this is a piece of great news because even though having more boys is a good thing for the stability of his rule and force, Lie Fan hopes that he has more daughters than sons reducing the chance of a succession war in the future.
Of course, we never knew if Diao Chan gave birth to a boy, Lie Fan would treat all of them the same but he would give his daughters more preference than his sons.
Lie Fan then was allowed to enter the room, meeting with Cai Wenji and his newborn daughter, while wiping Cai Wenji's sweat, thanking her for doing such a dangerous thing for her, and kissing her on the forehead, he received news that Diao Chan has successfully given birth to another daughter for him.
Lie Fan was taken aback, never expecting that he would receive another daughter. Lie Fan after saying sweet nothings to Cai Wenji and kissing his daughter I the forehead, goes toward the room where Diao Chan was brought there before.

Guan Yu's fame wasn't that high considering how the stage in Hulao Gate was usurped by Lie Fan, Huang Zhong, and Dian Wei. Zhang Liao at first thought Guan Yu was another weak opponent but soon he was taken aback by what he received from Guan Yu.
Guan Yu using his long green glaive, attacked Zhang Liao using all of his might where Zhang Liao then pushed back after blocking the attack, it was at this battle that both Guan Yu and Zhang Liao's fame grew.
Cao Cao who was in the rear watching the battle alongside Liu Bei, saw the confrontation between Guan Yu and Zhang Liao and he was attracted to these two talented people.
He lamented that his chance of getting Guan Yu was very low, considering that Guan Yu had become sworn brothers with Liu Bei and Zhang Fei, as for Zhang Liao he had a chance if he managed to defeat Lu Bu.
The first contact battle between the two armies ended in a draw, In late afternoon the battle was soon stopped by both sides, adhering to the rule that they can't have a battle at night, except for a surprise raid.
This rule has long prevailed from the spring game autumn period, then to the Warring States period, then to the period of struggle between Xiang Yu and Liu Bang where the latter won the battle and established the present Han Dynasty.
At night, Lu Bu was having a meeting with his council to discuss their next step in this battle, everyone including Lu Bu knew that sooner or later they would be defeated if this became a battle of attrition.
Chen Gong: "My Lord we are in a predicament situation, both Cao Cao and Liu Bei have much more supplies and soldiers than us, even though we have the supplies that Liu Bei has prepared beforehand, it can only last us at least a month."

Gao Shun: "My Lord I have a suggestion, what if using the cover of the night we prepared traps in the middle of the field, does Master Chen Gong think this is feasible?"
Chen Gong: "Hmm this could be a feasible plan if Cao Cao and Liu Bei's army alertness wasn't as high as the previous night, also our men need to be extra sneaky and silent for this to work."
Zhang Liao: "My Lord and Master Chen Gong I volunteer myself for this plan, I agree with Gao Shun's suggestion and I have found some weak points in their formation, so I could place the traps in the location that I think is their weak point."
Lu Bu turned his head toward Chen Gong, asking him if he should agree to the plan that was proposed by Gao Shun and supported by Zhang Liao, Chen Gong thinking that he hadn't thought of any plan nodded his head in agreement, Lu Bu who saw this immediately give his order for Zhang Liao to pick the best men to do this task, Zhang Liao cupped his hand receiving the order.
