"So this is how you use the sweet potato," Qin Jiale watched as her sister mashed sweet potato into a paste and mixed it into the rice flour, adding water and green onions to make a sticky paste. She then applied a thin layer of the paste onto a mold, placed a couple of shrimps on it before covering them with more paste to prevent them from falling off. She fried them in hot oil until they turned golden brown, sprinkled some chili salt on it, and placed them on clean lettuce. The appetizing and visually appealing shrimp pancakes were quickly served to her.

"Sis, these shrimp pancakes look even better than the ones my classmates had. They smell so good," Qin Jiale said after serving her grandparents and parents. Only then did she take a bite herself, the taste was superb.
