Chapter 22: Kakashi vs. Rabbit
'Hey what the fuck man?'
Haruko exclaimed in his head as his connection to his clones were severed one after another. Upon syncing his senses with one of the remaining ones he only got a slight glimpse of a figure being chased by dogs before his head was removed.
'Jesus christ who just killed almost all my clones? Fuck I don't get the biomass they collected if they fucking die! I just get my chakra back this piece of shit!'
Following Naruto out of the back of the house, Haruko motioned for Naruto to stay low while they made their way to the fight.
"They aren't too far away. I know where my last clone died, follow me."
"Gotcha!"
They made their way into, and through the trees leading to a small opening where Kakashi was engaging a tall figure with a rabbit mask in a fight.
Kakashi had his sharingan out in full view as his eyes followed the Rabbit's figure darting around dodging his ninken. Kakashi slammed his hand down on the ground, and his dogs all disappeared. Rabbit turned to face him, and two kunai appeared from his sleeves. Kakashi brought out his kunai as well, and prepared for the ensuing melee.
Rabbit rushed Kakashi, and led with a testing swipe of his kunai. Kakashi deflected the incoming blow before planting his foot in Rabbit's stomach, who disappeared with a poof replaced by a log. Kakashi jerked his head to the side narrowly avoiding the kunai aimed for the back of his skull before grabbing the offending arm, and tossing Rabbit in the air. From the air two kunai soared towards Kakashi who deflected one, caught the other, and threw it right back.
Rabbit twisted in the air to avoid it, and used a few hand signs. "Wind Style: Raging Bullets" Kakashi performed several backflips avoiding the small projectiles before flipping into the air "Fire style: Fireball!" Kaakashi puffed his chest before sending a huge gout of fire which formed a massive ball heading for Rabbit. The fire engulfed the masked assailant before it puffed, and disappeared. Rabbit Appeared from the trees, and weaved some signs."Wind style: Great Gale Force!" A massive gale of wind slammed into Kakashi, who dug his kunai into the ground before he could be launched away. "Wind style: Wind cutter!" A visible line of wind sung through the air towards Kakashi. "Earth Style: Dome barrier!" The wind impacted the dome, and sliced through the dome causing Kakashi to roll, and jump out from his dome.
Rabbit met him with a frontal assault of kicks, each mirrored, and deflected with skill by Kakashi. Seeing the taijutsu fight not going in his favor, Rabbit leapt high in the air "Wind Style:Violent Whirlwind!" A powerful force of wind shot out from his mouth, only for his eyes to widen in surprise as he found Kakashi had mirrored his position, and a similar deadly burst of wind was raging towards him as well. Both fell from the sky, and a large dust cloud was left in the clearing.
Kakashi slid back after landing, and noticed the ground beneath him moving. Swiftly weaving hand signs the cry of a bird could be heard as lightning danced around the arm he plunged into the ground. "AGH!" A cry of pain rang out as Kakashi drug the man out of the ground before kicking his solar plexus, and sent him flying. Kakashi kept the momentum, shushin'd right up to the man, and broke his mask with a flying knee. Rabbit staggered back, bleeding from his shoulder, and his arm hung limply at his side.
Seeing he was outclassed Rabbit took stock of his surroundings before deciding his next action. A number of Kunai were removed from his long sleeves each with a tag attached. The kunai were sent flying in all directions as Rabbit pulled out a sealed scroll, and removed a pile of explosive tags. Kakashi dodged, and weaved through the kunai's before charging after Rabbit once again. Explosions ravaged the forest, and the two boys had to jump from tree to tree to avoid getting caught in the explosives. The man continued to cover himself in explosives as Kakashi avoided getting damaged again, and again. With a crazed look in his eyes he charged Kakashi. "KAKASHI! YOU DIE TODA-"
His speech was cut short as a bladed arm pierced his chest. Black, and red tendrils tore his body, and the tag's apart harmlessly as he was absorbed into Haruko's small body.
"Haruko! What is wrong with you?!?"
"He was going to blow you up, Kakashi!"
"I had this handled! You could have died! You were almost caught in the massive explosion he was going to set off!"
"I was fine Kakashi. He didn't keep an eye on his surroundings. Too focused on taking you out with him. You should be proud of me!"
"Proud of you for what? Recklessly throwing your life away?"
As Kakashi berated Haruko, Naruto, and Haruko made their way over.
"Oh! You managed to get him? Good job new Haruko #2."
Kakashi looked back, and fourth between Naruto, Haruko, and Haruko.
"Why didn't you mention the fact that you were a clone?"
"It was funny seeing you get so mad!"
"Haruko, why you messing with Kakashi sensei?"
"Because he came to conclusions on his own, and it pissed me off."
"Haruko you're insufferable." Kakashi spoke while plopping onto the ground. Haruko#2 made his way over to the original.
As the clone was absorbed back into Haruko's body he took a knee as his mind, and body took on all the memories of rabbit, along with all his biomass. Rabbit was a mid level Chunin combatant with a smaller chakra pool size. Focused on wind style, with a miner focus on calligraphy, and seal creation.
'I started skimming through his memories; they were mostly useless, and more or less identical to Mizu's. Rabbit's name doesnt matter, his childhood was unremarkable. He was in the genin corps most of the third ninja war where he gained enough merits for a promotion, and then joined the root.
An all around uneventful life, before joining root, and being taught most of his wind style jutsu he had taken up calligraphy as a pass time, and learned to make a few seals. While his skills were meager, as was his chakra pool at least he had a decent amount of biomass. Which I promptly put all of it towards developing a technique near, and dear to my heart.'
While Haruko was deep in his own head, Kakashi, and Naruto continued their conversation.
"Naruto, I told you to stay in the house!"
"I know, but I couldn't miss out on this fight! It was the most awesome thing I'd ever seen! What was the lightning bird you used to stab him?"
"Chidori, a technique I developed when I was younger." Kakashi's chest was moving slightly, and a small bead of sweat was falling through his headband.
"Wow! Kakashi you're so cool! Are you going to teach us how to use it?"
"Not if you keep being a pain in the ass."
"Oh c'mon Kakashi! Don't be like that. Was it a hard fight?"
"Hard? No, just annoying. The explosives were the most dangerous thing he had."
Their conversation was cut short as Haruko's body began to twitch, Several black tendrils shot out, and wrapped around his body while moving all around his body a definitive shape began forming. A clawed gauntlet led up his arm, a shot blade protruded out from his elbow. His shoulders had thick plates which hung over, and provided protection against his arm being lopped off. Two intersecting plates covered his chest before forming down in a series of V's leading down past his groin. Thick plates wrapped around his thighs. He had thick, sharp toed boots which led upward, and the knee had a short sharp spike matching his elbow.

Balthizar_Blake Let me know how you liked it. My boss has me working 10 days in a row with no off days, so i'm pretty exhausted. Till my crucible is over it'll be a chapter a day as I can't burn myself out, and I only want to write when I'm in a good headspace, and can provide quality work. So untill the 3rd of june it'll be one a day. since im off that day I'll do a mass release for all my missed chapters. As of now I owe 5 bonus chapter's.
