Present day: 4th October 1655
Ramayya Senapati and Narasimha Nayak marched toward the city of Vadodara. Not needed in the battle for Bharuch, they had continuously travelled to Vadodara after stationing some troops at Bharuch. However, by the time they reached the vicinity of Vadodara, it was already 7:00 PM, so they had to camp in the wilderness for the night.
Upon seeing the first visual of the city of Vadodara, Ramayya Senapati and Narasimha Nayak were taken aback again, very similar to how they felt in Bharuch. In front of them, they could see at least three brigades that had already set up artillery and commenced bombardment. Both of them looked at each other, shocked expressions evident on their faces.
