Fred found himself soaring high in the reddish-orange sky without clouds but filled with mystic fog. As Fred felt the wind on his face he also felt shockwave after shockwave that caused him injuries internally, causing him to cough out blood continuously in pain, but the shockwaves were coming from every direction and seemed to keep him airborne but were damaging him in real-time as well.
Fred looked to his right and found a pack of flying creatures he had never thought he would he see in his lifetime! Creatures that he and every other boy at the age of five dreamed of, creatures that were believed to be myth in his world but he believed existed somehow and somewhere. Dragons! But not just any dragons, these were hell dragons! There were a pack of six each as tall as the Empire State Building with dark red reptilian skin. The shockwaves he experienced were like explosions in his face but were just the effect of the hell dragons flapping their wings.
The hell dragons spotted an airborne naked man and were stunned for three whole seconds until the leader of the group ordered the rest to spew flames at this wingless demon that dared to trespass on their territory as lords of the sky. The leader of the hell dragons ordered his pack not to take this newfound threat lightly since the atmospheric pressure and gravity were four hundred times that of Earth.
The hell dragons in unison spewed a barrage of flames towards the intruder in their territory. Fred, upon sensing the incoming danger couldn't bring himself to dodge the incoming attack midair as it covered a lot of space and turned the reddish-orange sky blue. With this in mind, Fred decided to retaliate by punching in the direction of the hell dragons. Fred suddenly felt a warm feeling from the core of his body coursing throughout his body, eventually reaching his fists and expelling itself outward along with the sheer physical power exerted by Fred's punch caused the blue flames coming at him to disperse into nothingness!
The force of his punch didn't stop there but continued until it reached the flying hell dragons causing all of them to lose their balance and creating huge gaping holes in the wings of some. The force of his punch eventually ended by leaving external bruises on the front of the hell dragon. But that was not the end of it, Fred was sent flying downwards at great speeds thanks to his punch!
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, WAIT, WAIT!" Fred screamed frantically as he tried to stop himself but to no avail. His eyes caught an ongoing battle between demonic hordes and landed right in the middle of it with a BIG BANG!
Covered in demon blood and guts again, Fred got up slowly in pain and was surprised that his body didn't paint the floor red like tomato paste.
"Arack Gec Nee!" A winged bipedal demon covered with armour, hovering above the battlefield issued a command and a squad of four dark-skinned orcs nine feet tall with fresh blood stains on their body nodded and rushed forward quickly.
Two orcs appeared behind Fred, each grabbing an arm and securing a leg, holding Fred firm. While the remaining two charged in front of Fred, one jumping above the head of Fred with both hands grabbing a great axe tightly and the other running a spear through a bewildered Fred. The spear missed his heart by an inch, causing Fred to jerk backwards uncontrollably. As the final orc was about to finish off Fred, earthquakes disturbed the orcs formation and dust filled the area.
"Arek! Arek!" The winged demon ordered as he and his army including the special orc squad looked up in horror and continued raising their necks as if looking at a tower.
"Haha…" Fred laughed as he recognized the visitors. Apparently, his newly acquired friends landed just in time to save him. They were the hell dragons that were falling from the sky. The only reason Fred landed faster than the hell dragons was because of the force of his punch which acted as a jetpack or propeller for him.
Upon seeing the hell dragon the winged demon, his army and special orc squad left the area in minutes.
The hell dragons looked groggy as they began to dust and pick themselves up slowly. Fred who was kneeling at this point got up groggily too. With a great deal of pain, he removed the spear that went through him.
'Energy core assimilation at 30%...
Congratulations! You have lost a lot of blood, your organs are still fine thanks to your high durability stats but your stamina is low. Since you haven't lost the will to fight, you have unlocked passive healing!
Passive healing at 10%!'
'Recently, I have been trying to figure out what kind of powers I got. Super speed checks, super strength… but it only happened one time and it feels like I have to get used to that warm feeling in my body to generate that strength again. My body is very resilient and durable that I can survive continuous shockwaves and fall damage but I still got pierced by this spear…' Fred thought as he inspected the spear in his hands and looked up at the hell dragons who looked at the ant in front of them with an annoyed expression.
Normally, the orcs that attacked Fred were as fast as supercars but still appeared like they were jogging to Fred. But why did Fred still get impaled? Fred before his transmigration was just a regular junior dev. and software engineer who worked at AllSafe Cybersecurity Company and had little to no battle experience, hence why he got caught up in the orc's battle formation.
The hell dragons were enraged that a mere ant made them fall from grace to grass. Their leader issued another command to the pack to spew as many flames as possible at the ant in front of them as the area was highlighted blue and the temperature rose even higher. Fred, with a look of determination in his eyes, grabbed the spear that almost took his life with vigour and a strong will to not die.
"C'mon, I am not dying today, you oversized lizards!" Fred cried out as the battle began.
.
.
Ten years passed by, but for Fred, it was as if he was just years of endless battles and fruitful encounters.
Fred sat atop a mountain of demonic beasts with nothing but the fur of demonic beasts he fashioned into a robe to cover his lower body. The fur would often change colour based on the colour of the guts and blood of the recent demonic beast or being he slew. Fred grew a beard, his hair grew longer and his demeanour reeked of danger and the essence of hell.
