Leo decided to not think about the location anymore and simply chose to open the door.
The interior of the house was exactly what Leo had expected.
There was a single room and it was mostly filled with wooden furniture.
There wasn't even a couch in the room.
The one thing that did pull Leo's attention was the fireplace.
The fireplace had recently been restocked as there was fresh wood in it.
Leo was so busy observing the room that he hadn't even noticed the woman sitting on the chair at the table in front of him until she called out to him.
"So you did make it after all, I honestly didn't think you had it in you."
Leo looked to where the voice came from and saw a woman in her late twenty's sitting on a wooden chair.
She wore a white blouse with a small black jacket over it.
She looked a lot like a butler except for the fact that the part of the blouse near her hands was stained red.
It didn't look recent, it had been washed multiple times resulting in the red being a bit lighter.
However, Leo instantly recognized that it was blood.
Leo sat down at the opposite side of the woman before speaking.
"So you're the one who orchestrated this all."
"The one and only, it is a pleasure meeting you, Leo.", said the woman before picking up a pack of cigarettes and taking one out.
"You want one too?", she asked.
"No thank you.", responded Leo.
"Whatever floats your boat.", said the woman before lighting the cigarette and taking a puff.
She exhaled the smoke before continuing.
"So, tell me about your little adventures at site Phobos, since two insurgents told me you did something absolutely amazing."
Leo sighed.
"Since they told you already, do I really have to reiterate it all?"
"Yep, I wanna hear it from your mouth since there surely are details that they missed or that you haven't told yet."
"I will keep this brief for now, once the backup generator died I pried open the door of my containment chamber and exited my containment. There I slaughtered and sneaked my way into a conference room where an executive was waiting, I tortured him to death before shapeshifting into him and stealing his clearance."
Valentina interrupted Leo.
"Hold up, why did you torture him to death specifically?"
Leo's reply was quick and casual.
"Oh, don't think he was an exception, almost all of the people I killed at that site died a painful and horrible death, as for why I simply felt like it. Do you want the details perhaps?"
Valentina waved her hand.
"Yeah, no thank you."
Leo continued with his summary, but the next part was hard for him to say.
"After getting the clearance card, I killed some more guards and reached SCP-966, I killed it and stole its power."
Valentina's eyes widened.
"Wait... You can steal the power of SCPs you kill?"
"Pretty much, it only lasts for a while and I have no control over it though. The time duration mostly depends on the powers of the anomaly."
Leo was once again, bluffing hard.
Valentina would've questioned Leo harder if he didn't mention how he escaped out of the site after arming the nuclear warhead, since it certainly wouldn't be an easy task.
Sure, Leo could've said that he killed another guard and shapeshifted into him to make his escape, but it would not be possible because the guard would be punished for going to the light containment zone instead of going to the heavy containment zone in order to assist in securing the warhead room.
That is why Leo chose to give some form of truth, but change it ever so slightly.
However, this discovery was astonishing to Valentina.
"So you are saying you can quite literally copy the power of an SCP for a while?"
"Yep, that is it. Pretty sure the anomaly has to be dead though."
Valentina leaned forward and looked Leo in the eyes.
"I don't think you realize how good this is, if we find the right anomaly you will practically be unstoppable, do you understand that or not?"
Revamp is going well lads!
