THREE LITTLE PIGS
"Oriese, you got out of the Forbidden Grounds safely, I was so worried about you", Conjurer Iras said to me as I came out of the portal to the Forbidden Grounds.
"Where are the other conjurers?" Conjurer Ivior asked me, curious about the fate of the other conjurers.
"Oh, those scums. I killed all of them", I replied to him.
"You… how dare you kill our conjurers in the Conjurer Court?" Ivior questioned me as he asked his guards to arrest me.
"The Forbidden Grounds is not a part of the Conjurer Court", I said to Ivior and he paused a moment before stopping his guards.
"Even then, the killing of conjurers is a serious crime according to our law", Conjurer Ivior said to me.
"Yes, you are right if that law applies to ordinary conjurers and templars. But that law doesn't apply to a Conjurer of the Conjurer Court", I replied to him as I pointed my badge to him.
"Arrogance. Does it mean our conjurers can kill other conjurers outside the Conjurer Court?" Conjurer Ivior asked me angrily.
"Duels between Conjurers are acceptable to the Conjurer Court. Those idiots tried to duel with me in the Forbidden Grounds and I killed them. There is no crime, except the crime of stupidity. Isn't that right, Conjurer Stupid", I replied to Ivior which made him furious as we walked away.
But there was nothing that he could do to me in this instance, and he knew it himself.
Conjurer Ivior wanted to send conjurers into the Forbidden Grounds to kill me because that was legal under the law. His plans backfired on him, leaving him with a few less helpers than before.
-----
"Seriously, you killed the other conjurers. Some of them are already mid-tiered Yellow Legendary", Conjurer Iras asked me surprisingly.
"Well, I am serious and frankly, the Conjurer Court's Legendary ranking is rather flawed", I said to him.
"You are the only one that I know of that can cheat our machines in the Ranking test", he replied to me.
"Well, that aside, I've got the constellation from the Forbidden Grounds, but I couldn't find the weapon. There is no divine weapon inside the Forbidden Grounds", I said to Iras as I passed him a scroll with the constellation of the Skins of the Lord.
"This is a divine constellation, but I guess the divine weapon was retrieved long before this", Iras said to me about the constellation and the divine weapon.
"Iras, is there a constellation that augments our magic body armor. I would like to learn it", I asked Iras.
"Body augmenting magic? Well, yes, we have them, but that magic is usually meant for knights, not conjurers. We do have some of them in the Conjurer Vault although we don't have the best of such skills. You will have to find them in the Court of Knights Templar", Iras told me.
"That will be fine then, I've already checked the Conjurer Vault. There is nothing there that I need", I told him.
"The section of the Conjurer Vault you went to last time was meant for apprentices, so the offering there is less rare. We have better artifacts and literature in the conjurer section. You are now a conjurer, you can access that section now", Conjurer Iras said to me.
"Really, but I don't have any more merit vouchers from the Mission Center", I told him.
"Don't worry. By recovering this constellation from the Forbidden Grounds, you have received more vouchers than those you spent to gain entry to the Forbidden Grounds", Iras said to me.
"Great. I can exchange these vouchers for something in the Conjurer Vault, conjurer section", I said to him.
"Yes, you may although I would advise you not to waste time on Body Augmentation magic. They are meant for Knights or tanker conjurers like Iviar", he told me.
"Thanks for the advice but it is always good to learn about something new", I replied to him.
-----
The Conjurer Vault of the Conjurer Court, Conjurer Section, presented a stark contrast to the apprentice area I had previously explored.
Unlike the library-like ambiance of the apprentice section dedicated to magical works, this space resembled more of an enchanting gallery, showcasing a myriad of magical skills and artifacts.
Each skill and artifact were meticulously curated and housed within magical cabinets, shielded by formidable force fields that posed a formidable challenge to breach.
Attempting to replicate these magical readings without extracting the grimoires and scrolls would be impossible, but doing so would incur a cost in merit vouchers, of which I had only a limited supply.
-----
"Damnit, I thought I could copy all the magical skills here, but they are all contained inside magical cabinets", I complained to Ratatouille.
Ratatouille was the only one who accompanied me here to the Conjurer Vault, Conjurer section. He was the only one who was interested to come in here for a day trip, to search for treasures.
"These magical fields that protected the cabinets are difficult to breach, we can't steal the secrets inside", he said to me.
"Damn, it is such a waste", I complained to him.
We walked through the contents in the magical cabinets, and they were all quite interesting to me. However, I could only choose one or two of these magical skills to bring home.
When we were troubled by the choices to make about what book to take home, intruders came into the Conjurer Vault.
"Wait a second, I hear something", Ratatouille informed me suddenly.
"Nobody should be in here beside me. I've booked this whole vault for the day", I told him.
"Maybe this is an intruder", he replied to me.
I quickly turned invisible to check who was the intruder.
"Finally, the intruder actually turned up", I told myself.
"hoof…hoof…hoof"
I was expecting a powerful templar or assassin like those from the Solomon temple to dare raid the Conjurer Court's Secret Vault but to my surprise the thief wasn't at all like that.
The intruder jumped around leisurely and started to hum and sing.
"Three little pigs went out one day."
"One built a house that was made from hay"
"The other pigs thought it would fall, fall, fall."
