THE SHORTEST INTER FAMILY COMPETITION
The rest of the family members were beyond shock and horror. This was the first time that someone in the family dared to dismember another right in front of the elders.
The worst thing was, even the elders did not speak out against my rude actions.
"What is the purpose of summoning me here?" I asked the family elders as I went up a raised stage and took the seat of one of the elders to the shock of the whole Hall.
"Oriese, that is not your seat", Prince Geoffraie tried to warn me but I was already seated at the elder's seat although none of the elders complained to me.
"Erm… we ask you here to congratulate you for winning the first team match with the Demetriodes family", Lord Argyriss said to me cautiously.
"That is nothing. I need to beat a few scums now and then to maintain my image as a Bully", I replied to them.
"We would like to offer you any assistance that you may need for the following matches. You are our most valued contestant", Lord Likourgoss told me and offered the clan's assistance.
"There is no need for that", I replied to him to his surprise and the surprise of all the family members.
"Any help will be useful, and the family can provide you with all the resources that you need to win", Prince Geoffraie said to me.
"There won't be any more team fights", I replied to them.
"How can that be? Are you quitting the competition?" Lord Likourgoss asked me.
"No, all the other teams will quit when they know I am the one fighting", I replied to him.
"Are you really that confident, my boy?" Lord Argyriss asked me with curiosity.
"Nobody will willingly want to be beaten into pulps for the whole world to see. We have already won the family competition", I told him and added, "And if there is nothing else, I will say goodbye".
With that I left the hall of the Mithridocus family who were in silence and shock at what had just happened there.

"I apologize for Oriese, he is brash and…" Prince Geoffraie tried to defend me after I was gone.
"There is no need to apologize. It is good to know that our family has finally produced someone with the power and caliber of Spiros", Lord Argyriss replied to him.
"But the boy is rude and arrogant", Lord Likourgoss added.
"And so was Spiros. The strong in this world shall not be acting meek. Arrogance is good, as long as his fury is directed against the other families and not to us", Lord Argyriss said to them.
"He did beat up one of us so wantonly and disrespectfully", someone added.
"We should be careful when we deal with him in the future. He wouldn't act the way he did if we didn't give him a reason to", Lord Argyriss said to the clan in the Hall.
"That is wise", Prince Geoffraie replied to the elder.

True to my prediction, the other families forfeited their matches against the Mithridocus family. We were the only team that won the inter Family Competition by winning only one round match in the entire competition.
"Why did the other families' forfeit their match against you?" Cassandra asked me.
"They don't want to be beaten to death, I guess", Chash replied to her on my behalf.
"The contestants in the family teams are young knights and conjurers. No matter how talented they may be, they are not in the same league as master and they know that", Meera told them.
"I present the prize of this inter Family competition to the Mithridocus family", an elder said and presented a banner embroidered with the word, 'Winner" on it.
The captain of the Mithridocus team quickly went up the stage to accept the conferment while the teammates of the other teams sat in their seats, vying angrily.
"Is that all? We came for the shortest competition ever", Iviar complained to us.
"No, this is just the beginning", I replied to him.
Suddenly, someone leaped onto the stage after our captain received the winner's banner and the reward.
"I am Vlassis from Gamanos family. I will challenge the victor of the Family Competition", the knight challenged our team.
"What is happening here? Didn't you already win?" Eless asked me.
"It is the rules of the Family Competition, the victors of the team competition can be challenged by any member of the families after they won the competition, even if their seniority is much higher", Meera explained to her.
"They are coming after you, Oriese?" Anitor asked me.
"This is probably the real motive of the other families by giving up the competition so easily, to get me to fight with them", I told them.
"They could have issued a challenge to you in the Magic Arena", Epius suggested to us an alternative reason.
"A challenge against husband in the Magic Arena will cost them a wager of a Billion Aur", Cassandra told them.
"So, the purpose of this competition is to challenge Oriese without paying a wager?" Illiwyn asked.
"We already anticipated this happening once the Bully decided to fight in the competition", Ratatouille told them.

"Who among you from the Mithridocus family team will accept my friendly challenge?" Vlassis asked our team loudly.
Our team captain was shaking as he held on to the victory banner and the reward. Prince Vlassis was a powerful and older knight from the Gamanos family who was not in the same league as him or the entire team for that matter.
But Vlassis wasn't planning to fight with the team. His target was on me.
"Oriese, come out and receive my challenge", Vlassis shouted out.
"Phew", our captain was relieved when he realized the object of Vlassis' challenge wasn't him and he quickly ran back to the team with his trophy and prize.
"This Vlassis is challenging the Bully", someone in the team said.
