Chapter 17: Break (1)
The school working on an hourly period, In the morning students would have their first two classes and a 30 minute break. After the 30 minute break there would 2 more classes each with a runtime of 1 hour. After the two classes there would be lunch for an hour and the school with finish of with a 2 hour long class.
Athena had gone through a rough patch because of the students. Many of the students came from an influential family or had a strong backing up. They were not afraid to create trouble.
Athena's first period went by easily. Even though in the morning she had a bit of a hiccup with the students in the morning, the first period went easily for them.
The kids were not afraid of mostly anything, the kids were troublemakers but most of them had a sense of responsibility to take care of their family business or clan and had many other responsibilities.
They were also few who were real troublemakers and would do anything to satisfy their own amusement, interest and entertainment. There would like to go to Athena and annoy her, but they were too lazy and busy. The reason was mostly everyone in the class had the latest released cellphone
Phones were a big deal in the early 2000's, there was a recent release of a special phone, which was considered a futuristic version of phone. The newly released phone was quite expensive for families, but if you are in an influential family, like the student sin Athena's class. It was no big, having the latest cellphone was just a way to flaunt your wealth.
God's were finally working in her favor, the students were busy with their new cell phone. But Athena was able to study some important things.
During break time Helen arrived in front of Athena's classes door. She knew where her sister's class was.
She had come along with her best friend Sara, who was clearly displeased to come all the way here.
"Don't make that sulking face, my sister is actually nice." Helen was frustrated at Sara, Sara thought that she didn't have a brain.
Sara in return gave a questionable looking to Helen. Wordlessly saying you are wrong to Helen.
As Helen was about to berate Sara, she saw her sister walking towards the door, with her bag in hand.
"Hey sis, how was your classes? Did you have fun? Did they bully? How was it? Anything different? Did you make friends? Did you learn anything? Are you hungry? You didn't have proper food in the morning either, we should go eat?" Helen had instantly turned into a new person after she saw her sister. She looked like a concerned mother.
"I am fine. I am not that hungry, I don't feel like eating a lot. Not bullied. Did learn. Not fun." Athena replied in a lazy voice.
"Oh I forgot to introduce you to my best friend. This is Sara." Helen remembered that she had forgotten to introduce her best friend and sister.
"Sara this is my sister, Her name in Athena" Helen introduced the ladies to each other.
Sara said a courteous Hello and in return Athena said Hello.
There wasn't much conversation between the two girls.
They made their way to the cafeteria area. With Helen mostly talking and Sara replying constantly. Athena quite but subtle 'hums' of agreement and acknowledgement..
