Chapter 412: 412. Young Detective Squad 2
"If not for that mysterious interference, four government officials and two policemen would've died!" shouted Honmaki in anger.
Kenichi and Niijima looked at each other but didn't say anything.
"But what kind of information was it?" asked Ukita
"Money paid to Yami, several covered incidents... every possible information about YAMI, starting from the second world war till these days, the one who has this information in his hands can overthrow the government 2 or 3 times and always gain something, it's a database fully loaded with all kinds of information!" explained Kenichi
"He is right with this information we could have finally taken Yami out of the government but now we can't" Honamki said in a dejected tone.
"Though why would Yami have a database with so much disadvantageous information about them?" asked Kisara
"Eh... this is amateur level question obviously this is disadvantageous for the government too. It is one of their ways to make the government do exactly as they say when there are important matters. Information can become for the people who can use them as a Spear or a Shield according to the case!" Niijima stated
"I see" said Ukita and Takeda at once while Kisara pouted and said "I understood the explanation but since you are pissing me off I won't say thank you"
In the end, Honmaki fervently apologized for this failure. While Miu wasn't as offended, it still rankled Kenichi that even with all this planning he was at backfoot.
So what can we do now?" asked Takeda.
"I'm not sure," sighed Honmaki, "With the data lost, the faction leader opposing Yami can't do anything. He's currently taking refuge in a mountain villa"
"Niijima!" Kenichi said to which Niijima smiled as he took out a CD.
"I have a backup of everything that we took from the base."
"Excellent! If we hurry to the mountain villa, then there is still a chance to expel Yami from the government!" exclaimed Honmaki in excitement, "I'll make the call rig-"
"I would suggest against that," interrupted Kenichi, snatching Honmaki's phone before he could dial it in and throwed it towards Niijima who understood what Kenichi wanted and started to do his job.
Right before their eyes, Niijima disassembled Honmaki's phone before pulling a small electronic device that definitely wasn't a part of the phone's original design.
"A transmitter attached near the charging port of the phone that was recording endlessly," grinned Niijima as he dropped the transmitter into a cup of water that Hisami brought to him, "This'll make them think that the Inspector accidentally dropped his phone into the bath or something. It wouldn't be too out of character for a man who was just attacked to just sink into the bath as soon as possible and toss his clothes into the washing machine full of water without care."
"I can't believe that they put a transmitter on me while I was in the police department!" gaped Honmaki in shock, "It was even paid for by the department recently! I'm mortified that I never thought that Yami's reach was that far. But that means we can use another phone to call Diet Member Ishida!"
"How did you find about it Kenichi?" asked Kisara
"Saeko and Renka are following a foreign agency and they messaged me that they weren't that far from Inspector Honamki's residence and had headsets on their head with a machine connected to it. Every one of us, uses the cellphone of Shinpaku Alliance so I already knew they weren't listening to our conversation through us so I decided to check on inspector Honamki's phone for safety purpose." explained Kenichi
"Are you saying that even a foreign agency has its hand in the government" Honamki said
"Who knows? Maybe it was Yami and they were just tapping the line it's not that hard if you have the right tools for it. And as for calling this Ishida, let's do it when we reach the mountain so even if his phone is bugged as well, Yami won't have the time to react." Kenichi stated as he really knows who this Ishida was and didn't want to complicate things.
"I… suppose that should give us enough time," conceded Honmaki as Niijima managed to reassemble his phone and passed it over to him, "Let's go!"
While the Yong Detective Squad was making these preparations, Coulson called Fury to inform him of what he has heard through tapping the transmitter line. He told him about the information on Yami and the backup that they have with them.
"Coulson i need you to get the backup for us, up until now we don't a have much presence in Japan but with this we could really do it. Another team is also there for an assignment use them to get the backup but don't use SHIELD for it just tell to act as mercenary unit to steal it." ordered Fury
"Ok sir" replied Coulson and disconnected the call after which he was sent the contact information for the other team.
Renka and Saeko were hiding on top of a house's rooftop while using their own Laser listening device made by Shinpaku Alliance.
"These guys! should we take care of them?" asked Renka
"And create an international incident? No we have the recording we will use this if we need it as for their task force we will inform Kenichi to be careful while we keep following them and take care of them along with the task force when they meet up." explained Saeko
"That's good, I have to say at the beginning i thought keeping eye on these guys would be boring but I am getting a little excited" stated Renka with a cat like smile.
"I know who would have thought that something like this could be so exciting" said Saeko with a smirk of his own.
"Too bad Natasha couldn't come all because of these guys" Renka said
"Don't worry it won't be like this always Nas we know that this will drive her to learn much faster from what Kenichi told me she is already an expert class like us. If not for Kenichi's personal help she would have already surpassed us" Saeko explained
"I know, I think it's her drive to be stronger that's helping her" Renka stated
"Either way it won't be long before she doesn't have to hide" stated Saeko to which Renka nodded her head.

Honmaki, Miu, Kenichi, and Niijima quickly took one car while Ukita, Kisara, and Takeda hailed a taxi along with Chikage.
The trip itself had gone smoothly, and unlike the last timeline, no warrior monks attacked them on their drive. Upon arrival, Honmaki quickly called Ishida informing him that they had vital information that could expel Yami. Right after he finished the call, though, Niijima saw several cars heading their way.
"Impossible! They couldn't have reacted so fast and located this place!" gasped Honmaki, "Were they staking this place out beforehand? Does Yami have a deeper reach into our government than I thought? Or did…"
