Chapter 499: What Do You Mean?

"Would you have been able to sleep if you were in my shoes after the charade that everyone puts on earlier in the day?" Brittany asked. She bent and pick up the small size sword laid on the floor.

She approached the racks where all types of weapons were neatly arranged.

"I am afraid they will kill me in my sleep if I dare to as much as close my eyes. I would rather stay awake and guard my life than let some stupid people kill me for nothing," Brittany said casually as she returned the weapon to its original place.

"Did you just say you are scared?" Alexander asked with a puzzled glance.

He burst out in a peal of deafening laughter not long after he finished talking.

Brittany turned and gaze at the guy still laughing. She could swear she hasn't seen him laugh this way.

Anyways he hardly smiles not to mention seeing him laugh. It was such a rare sight but she didn't feel good seeing him laughing.
