Chapter 240: Something that bothers us

Max threw Priscilla on the bed, causing a crackling sound in response. He started undressing himself, prompting her to tremble.

"Max, you are not in your senses and what nonsense you are sprouting out." She faltered; her eyes fluttered at the hostility she sensed from his actions.

Max had become oblivious to words and thrown his shirt away before climbing into bed and crushing her against the mattress.

"You can't keep fooling me, Pris. I know you're going to meet your secret lover. So tell me, What rubbish am I saying?"

Max's eyes were furious as he continued to stare at her, sending adrenaline rushes down her spine.

Priscilla had no idea what Max was talking about, but suddenly something came to mind, and her eyes widened in surprise.

Did he see me and Jack together?

Priscilla remembered one of her team members asking her about Max, who had followed her to lunch, but he wasn't there because she had left alone without notifying him.
