Chapter 79: The Rage of the Dragon

In my stupor, I heard words and shouts before I was tackled to the ground and then arrows began falling down on us. I turned my face to my left only to see Urus fall from his horse with three arrows embedded deep into his torso, he didn’t even manage to pull out his sword.

The horses neigh in fright and pain, and I feel the weight on me increase before a scream pierces the numbness in my brain.

Power surges in me like a veritable storm and my hands shoot out from the sides of the woman who protected me with her own body, sending a shockwave that unsettles the earth and sends everyone tumbling down in a wide range.

I pull myself from under Khutulun’s body, to find her heavily wounded and bleeding, she received two impacts, one on her chest and another on a leg, and on top of her is Habibi, she too is bleeding profusely but refuses to buck from her place in front of us. It is her who received most of the impacts, saving both of our lives in the process.
