Pulling the barrier down, everyone stared at the black goo scattered everywhere.
"Did it just … die?" Brick asked, looking at the remains of the creature scattered everywhere. "And from eating some of Eclipse?"
"What was that you said about Eclipse being harmless?" Ash asked, scoffing at the younger man beside him before turning to Hler. "Do not drink his blood."
"I am not trying to- hmm?"
"It's moving!" Brick shouted with laughter, showing it to Eclipse who just stared blankly at the creature in front of him. "Do you see that, Eclipse!?!"
"I do." He said nodding as he stared at the little good moving and wriggling, feeling like they are calling to him, for some odd reason.
"We must be very careful not to touch them. We do not know what they are or what they will do." Hler instructed everyone in the room before turning to look at Eclipse with a sigh.
The man is picking up the things he could with his bare hands while Aseko and the others just watched, slightly amused with this man and very concerned for him at the same time.
"What are you doing, Eclipse?" Brick asked, trying to touch one of them but Hler stopped him. "Huh?! Why can't I touch it? Eclipse is touching it."
"Eclipse and you are not the same," Aseko said shaking his head, annoyed at the younger man. "Not even the least bit … at all."
"Ok. Ok. I get it." He scoffed, sticking his tongue out at him. "This is why you always look so grumpy. You are such a stick in the mud."
"If you say so, Brick." Aseko walked to Eclipse who is busy in his own world without a care written on his face. "And … what are you doing?"
"I am just doing what it is telling me to?"
"It?"
"Yeah. It." He said, gathering the goo he got together placed them next to the biggest goo laying on the side of the wall, still pinned to it. "You can wake up now."
"Eclipse, what are you-?"
Almost immediately, the goo merged together, morphing into something … strange before it finally turned into a coherent creature, a black, scaly snake.
"Hello." Eclipse said, holding his hand out to the creature as it crawled on his arm and up to his shoulders, resting there while it took the time to look around at the others, tongue sticking in and out.
Brick is the first to approach them with sparkling excited eyes as he just about bounced up and down like an over eagered child. "So pretty!"
"I know, right?"
While the two are petting the snake, Aseko turned to the confused looking Vampire and asked, "What just happened?"
"I don't know," Hler said, throwing his hands in the air before he started pacing around the room, looking over his notes. "I don't know what just happened. Maybe you can ask the creature he just brought into existence."
Turning from the man to Eclipse, Ash asked, "Can your friend talk?"
"Yes." The man said, picking the snake up and placed it on the ground as the creature looked up at them, slightly confused but with not much other expression. "Now, why don't you introduce yourself? I don't even know your name."
Staring at everyone in the room a black smoke covered the snake turning into a woman with raven black hair and deep amber eyes.
She wore a simple black dress with little crystals embedded in it and a single, red crystal stuck on her forehead as she took a second to steady herself.
Her sharp eyes took a second to register everyone before she spoke, bowing to Eclipse. "It is an honour to be serving you, my lord."
With an expression that is just as confused as everyone else in the room, Eclipse pointed to himself blankly, "You … you're talking to me?"
"Who else would I be talking to?" She asked, looking up at him with admiration.
"How am I a lord? Do you know something about my past?" Eclipse asked, getting slightly excited, much to the other's concern.
"Unfortunately, I do not know anything except from the moment I was created a while ago." She said, flowing hair and dress scattering on the floor. "I apologise, my lord."
Eclipse's face immediately fell but he put on a brave smile. "I understand. It was foolish of me to think that you might know. I apologise for suddenly asking you something so strange."
Reaching out and grabbing the man's hands, the woman pleaded with him, "Please. Do not be apologetic. I have failed you for not being to be of help when you need me to be."
"No, it's not your fault, it's mine."
"No, my lord. It is this lowly, unforgivable-"
"Ok." Aseko suddenly stepped in between the two, looking at the both of them while impatience burnt on his skin. "Honestly. This is why I do not like it when people like you two start apologizing."
"How dare you talk about the lord that way?" The woman said, getting to her feet, snake-like tongue sticking out. "My lord, let me dispose of him."
"Who, Aseko?" Eclipse asked, looking at the man with a smile on his face. "Please refrain from touching him. He is someone dear to me."
The woman looked between the both of them, eyes widening immediately as she covered her bashful face. "Oh, I see. I apologise for not noticing it sooner."
"What did you see?" Ash asked, suspicious of the woman immediately. "What are you talking about?"
"I will not pry anymore." She said, covering the lower part of her face with the long sleeve of her dress as she moved away.
"Good." Eclipse said, turning to Aseko. "Isn't it, Ash?"
"No, she is thinking something strange. I can see it in her face." He said, trying to ask her more questions but Brick and Hler are already surrounding her and asking their own questions.
"What is your name?"
"I do not have one." She said, looking at the ground and then at Eclipse. "My master, should he be happy to accept me, will give me a name."
"I see. How did you come to be?"
"All I remember was feeling hungry wherever I went. I could not see and I could not hear but I could smell and taste and all I wanted to do is eat.
"So, when I smelt something delicious, I would immediately go in that direction and consume whatever it was. I never knew. I just liked the taste and the smell.
"But I never felt full in my life." She said, fiddling with her dress sleeves. "Until, a while ago, where I suddenly felt pain. Excruciating pain overcome me.
"Then, I smelt the sweetest smell I could ever smell." She said, much to the other's amusement at her sentences. "I don't know how I knew but part of me knew that this might be my only chance to change.
"So … I just lunged at this person and then, held on. I didn't know what else to do but that seemed to have been the right option because … I felt my entire body start to change and … and …"
She trembled, covering her eyes with her hands, tears streaming down her face, "I could finally see. I could hear … I could … I could make everything out. Oh, thank you so much for this, my lord."
She fell to her knees again, bowing in front of Eclipse who still seemed to be a little bit confused as to what he should be doing so he just stood there, very stiff and awkward.
She continued crying for a while before she finally fainted and Eclipse could breathe a sigh of relief as Hler picked the woman up in his arms.
"What should I do with her, boss?" he asked, looking like he really wanted to dissect the woman right there and then but Aseko is not going to allow that.
She might still be an asset, you idiot. He thought, shaking his head dramatically.
"Make sure she is kept in a room and taken care of," Askeo said, sighing. "Have some of the maids take good care of her so that she will not be panicked when she wakes up."
"Are you sure you don't want me to use any kind of magic to subdue-"
"No." He said firmly. "Go now."
"Fine." He said, walking out the door as Brick tried to sneak away but Ash called to the younger man. "You are supposed to be looking for that Eclipse asked, don't forget."
"Yeah. I will have it there by tonight." He said, saluting them and winking at Eclipse before jumping out the window.
"I hope that woman will not cause too many problems." Aseko thought, running his hands through his hair. "I should add more people to guard her."
"You seem quite taken by this woman." Eclipse teased, grinning up at the man. "Could there be something there? A blossoming of something new?"
"I have to worry because of you." He said, pulling Eclipse's cheeks as the man just continued to smile at him. Sighing, Ash said, "Come on."
"Where to?"
"I said that I would show you your ornaments, didn't I?" he said, stopping at the doorway as Eclipse made his way to him, skipping happily.
"Ok!"
