Chapter 83: I am his legal wife

Layla returned midway since she forgot to ask Damon about his choice when she saw how Sylvia had held Lucius's collar, yelling at him. Her blood boiled and she marched to them.

Before Sylvia could spat a nonsense, Layla grabbed her both hands and yanked them off Lucius's collar, shocking evryone present in the hall. Standing in front of Lucius, she said with an intimidating gaze, "Stop yelling at my husband."

"When you don't know anything, you shouldn't involve yourself," Sylvia said. "Lucius had promised my brother. So, you better divorce him and leave his life."

"Your brother is no more. And even if he were alive, he wouldn't have wanted Lucius to suffer. I don't care about the promise between them, but now I am his legal wife. Stop tormenting my husband. If you don't, I'll take action," Layla said, keeping her gaze fixed at Sylvia.
