I woke disorientated by the sound of my cell ringing. Fumbling my way out from under the comforter I stretched down to the floor and retrieved it from my jeans pocket. Glancing at the screen, I saw it was Clinton Bright, my lawyer.

"Sorry, Flynn did I wake you?" without waiting for me to answer he continued, "Bernie's been found. The LAPD has him in lock-up. He's appearing in court later today on various charges."

I sat quickly taking in his information and scrubbed my hand down my face. Valerie rolled over to face me and raised herself on one elbow with an inquiring look on hers. Covering the phone with my hand, I muttered, "They've found Bernie."
