Chapter 394: The Hunt (7)

This is probably the worst migraine I've ever had. 

I looked up just in time to see Lukas on fire. He was on fire. The sight was so shocking I even forgot about the headache. Truthfully, I was about to panic, but after noticing that he wasn't really getting burned or anything, I instantly stopped myself. Look at him, his hair is on fire as well, but the flames are not incinerating them. 

Then it dawned on me that he was actually suffering from the outcome of Nox going crazy inside him. He still has control over it somehow, but I know it was hurting him badly after seeing a trickle of blood had already dripped from the corner of his mouth, freaking me out.

He already summoned his anima back when we were leaving, then this dreadful energy that could suffocate a normal person agitated him. Even Kuro was unspared, whimpering on the ground, so I summoned him back too.

"Lukas!"
